Hey there, mama!

As I’ve shared in The Motherly Guide to Becoming Mama: Redefining the Pregnancy, Birth, and Postpartum Journey, meditation and relaxation exercises can be a phenomenally helpful way to cope with labor, Cesarean sections, and the time leading up to them.

In the book, you came across the written versions of the meditations I wrote for you. As promised, I am delighted to share the audio recordings (and yes, it’s my voice, so we really are getting close during this journey!).

Please feel free to use these as they work for you. Consider listening to them all, and choosing your favorite. Then, find a quiet time every day (or as often as you can) to cozy up, listen and get ready for your birth.

Remember to be safe while listening to these—don’t operate heavy machinery, and take precautions if you might fall asleep.

Release the tension

Use this guided relaxation to mindfully connect with your body and release the tension from each and every muscle.

Planned C-Section meditation

Cesarean births can be absolutely beautiful, tranquil experiences. Use this meditation to bring peace to your body and mind as you give birth to your baby via a Cesarean section.

Visualization exercise

Sometimes creating visual images in our minds can take us to a place of deep relaxation and comfort. Use this guide to help envision the most serene environment possible while you give birth.

Letter to my baby

In the busyness of pregnancy, it can be easy to forget that at the end of all of this, you get a baby. Reflect on the wonder of what is to come, by writing a letter to your future baby. Get inspired (and spend some time connecting to your growing baby) by listening to this meditation.
