Kim Kardashian announces daughter’s name—and, you guessed it, it’s unique

The anticipation is over: Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West’s third baby’s name was formally revealed in a post from the proud mama’s app today—and gamblers could have earned some serious money if they put any money on Kanye’s hometown.

“Chicago West,” Kardashian West simply stated on Twitter.

Ever since the family announced they were expecting another baby, speculation into what name they would select has been rampant—with the only guarantee being that the moniker would be unique.

While we didn’t see Chicago coming, we’re digging it… Especially if they use “Chi” as a nickname like she suggested.

Chicago doesn’t even register on the Social Security Administration’s list of baby names—meaning it didn’t crack the Top 1000 most-popular in any year since 2000.

Then again, neither did the names for older siblings North or Saint. But according to Nameberry, the couple helped put those on the radar with both trending up since Kardashian and West used them.
