How would you describe your pregnant style?

My pregnancy style is in line with my everyday style: effortless chic. I like pulling together wild combinations—pattern on pattern or big chunky necklaces with fun scarfs. I also like to throw together outfits that are just the opposite. This could be anything from a vintage 80's hair band t-shirt and boyfriend jeans, a body-con dress or a jumper with Converse. I kinda like looking like I rolled out of bed.

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during pregnancy?

Not really. Most of my pre-pregnancy clothes (especially my DVF and Nadia Tarr dresses ) still fit me thankfully because I love wearing flowy pieces. That being said, learning where the seams have to hit on my body has been somewhat challenging. Belts are really good quick-fix for showing off the bump! I also highly recommend buying all new bras once you've outgrown yours. It's totally worth the splurge.

What has surprised you most during your pregnancy?

Honestly I'm shocked how much I love being pregnant. I'm hyper Type A and was worried getting into the people making business would slow me down. But it's not the case at all! I still manage to accomplish the same amount in my day and I am actually less stressed. When he kicks, it truly feels like Christmas. I've also been so happy that other NYC mothers have been so supportive and encouraging throughout my pregnancy. I grew up in the South in a small town; raising a child in the city is a bit foreign to me. It is reassuring to know that there are so many kind NYC mothers willing to offer advice and even hand-me down clothes!

What’s been your favorite pregnancy piece or brand to show off your bump?

Nadia Tarr, Lilith and ASOS maternity are my staples. I'm super thankful for Target's Be Maternity line by Ingrid and Isabel for my workout needs. Kimonos and caftans are also making me happy this season. I'm an avid sample sale shopper and I recommend taking advantage during this time and scoring items for great deals that you can wear during and after the pregnancy!

What NYC experience are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?

It's the simple stuff. I am so excited to introduce him to our toy poodle, Dex (who has her own Instagram account!). I also can’t wait to just hang in the park, have playdates, and watch my husband Leland attempt to turn him into a MLB prospect.
