How would you describe your pregnant style?

I would say my pregnancy style is comfortable, cute, and colorful. I like using pops of color or patters (strips mostly) to accentuate the baby bump. Dresses and tunic tops have been my go-to these days. Sneakers and sandals in bright colors are also a nice punctuation mark on the days I want to be a little simpler win my clothing but still show my fun side.

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during this pregnancy? The only time I faced challenges was in the beginning of my pregnancy (about 10-11 weeks). Since I wasn’t ready to reveal the fact that I was pregnant, it was difficult for me to find things to wear that would hide my bump. I felt nothing fit, was unflattering, or was just too tight. I began showing very early in the pregnancy and found myself purchasing oversized tops to help hide my bump for a few weeks. Once I was ready to announce we were expecting, I began having a lot of fun shopping and coming up with different ideas to “style the bump” daily. As the weather gets warmer, it’s more and more fun showing off my growing belly.

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?

What surprised me most was my lack of nausea or serious illness. I am a first time mom and was not sure what to expect, but read that when pregnant with twins, certain symptoms can feel slightly worse in comparison to a single baby pregnancy. I am grateful every day that so far, the main symptoms I have had are being really hungry and tired. It’s been a pretty good ride from the beginning, and that’s a blessing.

What’s been your favorite pregnancy piece or brand to show off your bump?

I have to say Jessica Simpson Maternity. Just because you are pregnant and gaining weight doesn’t mean you don’t want to look and feel your best. Her clothes are simple yet stylish, and very figure flattering. I really love how the clothes accentuate the baby bump instead of trying to conceal it. She also some nice low cut necklines to help show off the feminine shape/assets. She did a great job on her collection.

What NYC experience are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?

I am most looking forward to walks in the park. I am usually a very active person who loves spinning as well as going for walks or jogs. When the weather is nice you will often see my sister and I at Prospect Park early every Saturday morning walking our dogs and enjoying the fresh air. I cannot wait for my babies to join us.
