How would you describe your pregnant style?

Easy, breezy and a little boho.

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during this pregnancy?

Learning to just let go as the body transforms can be a bit of a challenge, so instead of focusing on what doesn’t fit or how much weight I’ve gained, I’ve really tried to make a point to embrace the beauty of pregnancy. What works one day might not wear so well the next – and that’s ok, especially when you think about the life you’re creating inside of you.

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?

Everything! This is my first baby, and no matter how much you read, research and ask around, nothing truly prepares for you what a wild ride this is until you’re on it.

What’s been your favorite pregnancy piece or brand to show off your bump?

“Boyfriend jeans" a few sizes up instead of "maternity jeans." Slouchy tees and tunics from Wilt. Free People for affordable, flowing pieces. Basics and undies from Gap Maternity. Splurge pieces from Bird in Brooklyn where they carry lots of bump-friendly silhouettes from brands like Alexander Wang, Rachel Comey and Caron Callahan. For summer and swim, a Madewell one-piece, the Tulum coverup from 9seed and vintage caftans. And the X-Back Maxi Dress from Au Lait for an easy transition piece from pregnancy to breastfeeding.

What NYC experience are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?

There’s so much to do and see around the city, but what I’m most looking forward to is slowing it down and enjoying the simple things, like a walk in the park.
