9 best hairstyles for humidity

1. Wet bun

The beauty of a wet bun is that you don’t have to spend time drying it. Pull your hair back and add some gel to keep your strands secure. Fix your bun up high, low or in a messy, tousled look. Leave a couple strands out front. Add more gel to maintain the “wet” look and then finish it off with hairspray.

2. Ribbon braid

One of the best summer hairstyles combines low effort and pretty aesthetics. Simply wind a ribbon through your hair as you section it off for your braid.

3. Curly ponytail

There are two ways to get this look. If your hair is already curly then use your regular products to hydrate your curls and then pull your hair back into a high pony. Or, you can also tie your hair into a ponytail and then run your curling iron through.

4. Ballerina bun

Tie your hair into a high pony. Twist the ponytail into a rope then, coil it into a flat circle on your head. You’ll want to coil it in the same direction as the rope twists. Secure it with another tie or bobby pins.

5. Rope braid

Tie hair into a pony tail. Section the ponytail into two and then wrap those sections around each other into a rope. Finish with hairspray.

6. High pony

You can do a high pony with curly, straight or blown-out hair. It’s a classic go-to and it’ll keep your hair off of your neck. Leave a couple strands out in front or sleek everything back with some gel.

7. Half updo

The half updo is a favorite for fancy and casual events. Section your hair from the front until you’ve got just the strands from the crown of your head. You can tease it a little and then smooth it down to the back and secure with bobby pins. You can also create a little twist with the sectioned part while you’re putting in those hair pins.

8. Half up space buns

Part your hair in the middle. Work with one side at a time, section the top and create two ponytails on your head. Then, wind the ponytail around the elastic creating a circle. Secure your bun. Smooth your edges.

9. Silk Scarf

Silk or satin ties will help keep the frizz down. Fold it down to a headband, place it on the top of your head and then use the ends to tie under your hair. Or, you can wrap it under your hair and tie it on top.
