Baby’s Sex: Its a Surprise!
How would you describe your pregnant style?
Experimental. I like to see what works with my new figure and what I'm in the mood to wear. In my maternity style fantasy, I would have the wardrobe of Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby. In reality, my pregnant style is sportier and trendier than my usual look. I relied on a few boho dresses and loose pants to get me through the first trimester, midi dresses with sandals for the 2nd and welcomed maternity jeans (and leggings!) back into my wardrobe as soon as it cooled down. I'm usually a ballet flat kind of gal, but pregnancy has me rocking kicks as much as I can.
Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during pregnancy?
During my first pregnancy, I started to show at the end of the fall so I was wearing mostly sweaters and pants until I delivered. This pregnancy has spanned spring, summer and fall so I have had to purchase new staples. Staying comfortable in the summer was simple with a lightweight dress. I found shorts to be super unflattering!
So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?
My stamina. Despite the fatigue, aches and pains, I've been able to work, travel, entertain, party, cart groceries up to my 3rd floor kitchen, push my stroller around town and keep up with my toddler on the playground!
What’s been your favorite pregnancy piece or brand to show off your bump?
What NYC experience are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?
Excited to join the ranks of larger families making it work in this crazy town. Hoping to wear this baby as much as possible so we can continue our active family lifestyle -- I'm up for the challenge of a subway ride and adventure with two kids!
