Name: Mary Kate McGrath

Neighborhood: Upper West Side

Occupation: Editor-in-Chief, PureWow

Baby’s Sex: Boy (again!)

How would you describe your pregnant style?

You know, I don't think my look has changed that much. I'm still in heels, jeans and little jackets. Sure under that jacket is the longest, most comfortable cotton maternity t-shirt I can find...but besides that? Pretty much my look before. Although, I'm only on month six. Talk to me in two months when I'm pulling apart my husband's closet trying to find anything that will fit me.

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during this pregnancy?

Yes. I've had to bid adieu to dresses. Between the tights and the empire waists, I just feel like I'm waddling along in life. So dressier occasions have been a little tough. Luckily it's winter so a good pant and a flashy jacket or sweater has worked wonders.

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?

How much NYC loves their mommies! The kindness of subway riders and the construction worker whistles can't be beat.

What’s been your favorite pregnancy piece or brand to show off your bump?

Paying no mind to what I just said about dresses, I do love this one slim-fitting navy blue dress from Veronique Maternity with side ruching that is like a walking birth announcement. It totally puts my bump on display, but I love it.

What NYC experience are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?

I just can't wait to walk down the street carrying the baby. It's amazing to see how New Yorkers just melt when faced with cute cheeks.
