August is National Breastfeeding Month, and this week in particular is #WorldBreastfeedingWeek. It’s so awesome to see nursing parents share sweet photos of their breastfeeding journeys all over social media—it helps to de-stigmatize breastfeeding, and, well, who doesn’t love seeing cute lil’ baby pictures? Speaking of which, Halsey just shared a new photo of their newborn son, Ender, and it’s incredibly sweet.

“#WorldBreastfeedingWeek,” they captioned the photo. “We arrived just in time!”

And that they did! Little Ender was born just two weeks ago.

When they were pregnant with him, though, Halsey was already making strides to normalize breastfeeding as well as pregnant and postpartum bodies. In July, they debuted stunning artwork for their album cover that depicted a Rennaissance-style portrait of Halsey embracing their body for all that it is and all that it does.

“The idea that me as a sexual being and my body as a vessel and gift to my child are two concepts that can co-exist peacefully and powerfully,” Halsey explained in the Instagram caption of the image. “My body has belonged to the world in many different ways the past few years, and this image is my means of reclaiming my autonomy and establishing my pride and strength as a life force for my human being.”

We love that Halsey is doing their part to normalize and de-stigmatize everything about the postpartum experience—from body changes to how we feed our babies. Happy #WorldBreastfeedingWeek to them and their beautiful family.
