Warner Bros announced today that it will be releasing its new 2021 movies both in theaters and HBO Max, an unprecedented move in response to an unprecedented time in which, thanks to the global pandemic, the entertainment industry (like many others) took a huge hit.

Honestly, this is a huge deal for parents everywhere. Date nights have been cancelled since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and I don’t know about you, but over here on my household it’s been a lot of flipping through apps trying to find what to watch with my husband and never fully agreeing on anything. The Warner Bros releases will allow us to watch movies we had been excited about and looking forward to, but from the comfort, and most importantly safety, of our home.

Warner Bros said this new strategy will be in effect for the next 12 months and will include releases like “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Tom & Jerry,” “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,” “In the Heights,” “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” “Dune” and “The Matrix 4.”

How did we get to “The Matrix 4” I really don’t know, but looking forward to seeing more of Neo soon.

Get your microwave popcorn ready and puff up those couch pillows, because it’s going to be a fun 2021.
