It's 2020. The world is changing. It's hard to believe but the old decade is over, the new one is here and it is bringing a lot of new life with it. The babies born this year are members of Generation Alpha and the world is waiting for them.

We're almost at the end of this year and some new celebrity arrivals making headlines while making their new parents proud.

If your little one arrived in 2020, they've got plenty of high profile company.

Here are all the celebrity babies born in 2020 (so far):

Jinger Dugger Vuolo and husband Jeremy welcome 2nd child, another girl 🎉

Counting On star Jinger Vuolo (formerly Jinger Duggar) is now a mom of two!

Jinger and her husband Jeremy just announced their second daughter arrived over the weekend and mama and baby are doing well.

Baby Evangeline Jo joins big sister Felicity, who is now 2.

"Evangeline means 'good news' and Jo is after Jeremy's middle name, Joseph," Jinger said in a statement posted to the TLC website. "As for Felicity, she is in love with her little sister but has no idea how much sharing is in her future. We are so grateful to God for this beautiful gift!"

Nicki Minaj is a mama!

E! News reports Nicki Minaj gave birth on September 30.

Back on July 20, after months of speculation, Minaj told world about her pregnancy on her terms.

She announced her pregnancy to the world via an iconic photo she posted to Instagram with a simple caption: "#Preggers".

This announcement came nine months after Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty tied the knot, and two years after Minaj opened up to Wonderland magazine about how much she wanted to be a mom someday.

"I've got to get married first then I'll have a child. I might be closer than people think actually," she said back in 2018. "I love children. I'm not going to put that off for much longer."

Congrats to Nicki on realizing her dream of motherhood in 2020!

Surprise! Amanda Seyfried is now a mom of 2! 🎉

Amanda Seyfried and her husband Thomas Sadoski have welcomed a baby boy and announced the news is the coolest way.

Instead of posting on their own social accounts the couple used the moment to amplify the work of the International Network for Aid, Relief and Assistance (INARA) and War Child USA.

Seyfried and Sadoski are board members for INARA, an organization dedicated to providing "access to life-saving and life-altering medical assistance to children impacted by war."

A photo of the couple's newborn with 3½-year-old big sister Nina was posted to the INARA Instagram account with the following statement:

"Since the birth of our daughter 3 years ago our commitment to the innocent children that are so brutally affected by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives," the couple says. "With the birth of our son the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star."

Meghan McCain + Ben Domenech picked an amazing name for their baby girl

The View co-host Meghan McCain and her husband Ben Domenech are now parents!

The baby girl is the granddaughter of the late Senator John McCain and the couple chose a name that reflects their values.

Liberty Sage McCain Domenech and her mother are happy and "happy and healthy," a rep tells People.

While Liberty's name is now public, don't expect a ton of baby pics on McCain's Instagram. She has previously stated that because "there are a lot of cruel things written about [her] in the press on an almost constant/daily basis," and due to social media trolls she chose not to share photos of her baby bump, despite repeated requests from fans.

In an Instagram post she explained how she and her husband "have made the conscious decision to guard our (growing) families privacy as much as is possible."

Rooney Mara + Joaquin Phoenix select touching name for their baby son

People reports actors Joaquin Phoenix + Rooney Mara are parents...and they've picked a meaningful family name for their first child.

The news was confirmed by Russian filmmaker Victor Kossakovsky. Phoenix was an executive producer on Kossakovsky's black and white documentary about farm animals and was brought up while Kossakovsky was doing press for the film.

"He just got a baby by the way," Kossakovsky said recently at the 2020 Zurich Film Festival. "A beautiful son called River."

Joaquin Phoenix's late brother River died in 1993.

Justin Timberlake + Jessica Beil really did have a baby this summer!

Yes, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are parents of two! There were rumours back in July but now we know its true thanks to Timberlake's former *NSYNC teammate, Lance Bass.

Bass confirmed the news in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Bass told ET's Katie Krause that he and the other former *NSYNC guys knew about the baby way before the press got the news over the summer and that "the baby is cute, of course, it's Justin and Jessica!

MTV's Kailyn Lowry welcomes baby no.4 🎉

Kailyn Lowry is now a mom of four boys! The 28-year-old MTV star welcomed baby Creed to the family at the end of July and took him outdoors for a (socially distanced) football game on September 13.

Creed joins older brothers Lux, 2, Lincoln, 6, and 10-year-old Issac, who has been staring on MTV's Teen Mom 2 alongside his mama since he was a baby. During that time his mom finished college, wrote multiple books and launched a line of haircare products.

Kail is one busy mama, and little Creed will be keeping her busy in the best way for the next few months.

Leighton Meester + Adam Brody welcome baby no. 2!

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody now have a girl and a boy!

The O.C. actor best known for playing Seth Cohen announced his son's birth in a very low-key, Seth Cohen-ish way by dropping the news on Twitch. He was participating in Hold the Phone TV's The Fun Time Boys Game Night when he revealed baby no. 2 had arrived.

"Since last I played I have a new kid," he said. "I have a boy. He's a dream, he's a dream boy."

No word yet on what name Meester + Brody picked for their dream boy but they have a track record of picking awesome ones. The couple welcomed their daughter Arlo in 2015.

Katy Perry + Orlando Bloom's baby girl is here 🎉

Perry and Bloom shared the big news through a statement with UNICEF (they're Goodwill Ambassadors for the organization).

"We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter," the new parents began their statement.

"But we know we're the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. Since COVID-19, many more newborn lives are at risk because of a greater lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever."

Their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, joins older brother Flynn (age 9), Orlando's son from a previous marriage to Miranda Kerr.

Lea Michele + Zandy Reich welcome baby boy

Back in April we learned former Glee star Lea Michele was pregnant and expecting a baby with husband Zandy Reich.

A few weeks after Michelle's pregnancy news broke, her former Glee co-star Samantha Ware spoke out about racism and bullying on the set of Glee. Michelle issued a statement that reads, in part: "I clearly acted in ways which hurt other people."

Michele took a hiatus from social media to work on herself but logged on in July after former co-star Naya Rivera passed away in a tragic boating accident to post photos of Rivera and fellow Glee star Corey Monteith, who died in 2013, to her Instagram Stories.

On August 23 People revealed Michele and Reich's child, a boy, has arrived.

This is the first child for the couple but likely won't be the last. An only child herself, Michele has said for years that she would like to be a mom to more than one child someday,

Back in 2014, she told Daybreak, "I'm going to have like a billion of them! But mainly because I always hated being an only child, I always wished I had more siblings!"

Michele has also been public about her struggle with polycystic ovary syndrome, which she was diagnosed with right around the time Glee ended. Just a few months before her pregnancy announcement she opened up to Health about that diagnosis, and when she was asked where she saw herself in 5 years the answer was remarkably similar to what she said in 2014.

"I hope to be a mom of, like, 10 kids—if it's physically possible to pop that many out! Ha! I'm so excited about the thought of being a mom," she told Health. "I also want to continue making records, and I hope to return to Broadway. I also just really want to continue being my own boss—in the sense of creating content for myself on television and writing roles and finding projects that really serve me."

Katherine Schwarzenegger + Chris Pratt welcome baby girl 🎉

Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt have a baby girl!

According to Schwarzenegger's brother Patrick, mom and baby are in good health.

"They're doing great—just got her a little gift," Patrick said on Sunday.

The baby joins Pratt's nearly 8-year-old son, Jack, who he shares with his ex, Anna Farris.

Twin sisters Nikki + Brie Bella gave birth one day apart! 🎉

Twin sisters and reality TV stars Nikki and Brie Bella both welcomed baby boys!

Nikki gave birth to her first child, who she shares with her fiancé Artem Chigvintsev, on July 31. "Our baby boy is here and we couldn't be HAPPIER and more in LOVE!" she captioned a photo of the family's hands."Everyone is safe and healthy."

Brie and her husband, wrestler Bryan Danielson, welcomed a baby boy a day later on August 1. No word on his name yet but he joins big sister Birdie, who is 3.

"It's a BOY!!!" Brie captioned an Instagram photo of her son and husband's hands. "We are overwhelmed with joy and everyone is healthy!!!"

Congratulations to these sisters and a pair of cousins who will share a special bond!

Confirmed: Sophie Turner + Joe Jonas welcomed baby girl 🎉

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have welcomed a baby girl named Willa, TMZ reports.

In a statement to People, reps for the couple explain: "Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are delighted to announce the birth of their baby."

Back in February news of the pregnancy was first reported by Just Jared (which also broke the news of the birth this week).

According to Entertainment Tonight, "The couple is already obsessed and can't stop gloating about their new addition."

The Game of Thrones star married the Jonas brother in May 2019 (and they are giving us the good news we need in 2020).

Ciara + Russell Wilson welcome baby boy (and his name is amazing) 🎉

Congratulations to Ciara and Russell Wilson this week as the couple welcomes their new baby! He joins the couple's 3-year-old, Sienna Princess, and 6-year-old big brother Future Zahir, who Ciara shares with rapper Future.

has captured our hearts and we couldn't love her more!"

Kristen Wiig welcomed twins via surrogate 🎉

Kristen Wiig and fiancé Avi Rothman are parents to twins, E! News reported this week. Us Weekly was first to report the news and People also states the couple welcomed twins via surrogate earlier this year, but Wiig has not yet commented on the birth of her children publicly.

Wiig's appearance on Saturday Night Live around Mother's Day had people wondering if something had changed in her life.

In a sketch about Mother's Day she said: "I don't know if I truly appreciated my mom the first 45 years of my life. But this year I'm feeling especially grateful for her advice, her love. I'm so thankful for all the things she's taught me, like preparing me to be a mom myself. Things like breast-feeding," Wiig said, before leaning into a joke about chicken breasts. "Babies love that chicken, she would always say that."

She continued: "I do want to thank my mom, and all the moms out there, who have been helping us get through this and who have been there, and who are watching over us. We thank you so much. Happy Mother's Day. Thank you, moms."

Congratulation to Kristin and Avi 🎉

Iggy Azalea did not announce a pregnancy, but the Australian star (who is currently dating rapper Playboi Carti) just announced her son's birth on Instagram.

"I have a son," Azalea wrote on her Instagram Story on June 10. "I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realize I'm always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world."

She says she's making the announcement because she wants to "keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret."

As reported by People, baby boy Hayes was born in the couple's New Jersey home on May 13 at 3:37 p.m, weighing in at 9 pounds, 4 ounces and measuring 21 inches long.

Hayes joins big sister Gracie, now 2, and his mama's fans joined for a portion of his birth, which Otis planned to live stream. But eventually, Otis needed to focus on her doula, midwife, Hayes and her own body. The livestream was of the home birth was understandably cut short.

"I'm sorry I wasn't able to go 'live' longer - I was in so much pain during contractions and this labor happened so fast!" she said in her Instagram announcement. "I wanted to really focus on my breathing and being one with my son. Within 6 hours he was OUT!"

Former Harry Potter star Rupert Grint (who can currently be binge-watched on Apple TV's series Servant) is now a dad, E! News reports.

Grint and his partner, actor Georgia Groome previously confirmed they were expecting. In a statement to E! weeks ago Grint's rep stated the couple "are excited to announce they are expecting a baby and would please ask for privacy at this time."

The plea for privacy comes after paparazzi pictures of the couple out in London were shared online.

Now that their baby girl is here the couple are again asking for some family time.

"Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl," a representative for the couple told E! News. "We would please ask that you respect their privacy at this very special time."

Hope Solo on having twins during a pandemic: 'It has been incredibly stressful times for us'

Soccer superstar Hope Solo is now a mama of two after giving birth to twins on March 4, 2020.

Solo just announced her twins' birth via Instagram and also announced the names she and her husband, former NFL player Jerramy Stevens, chose for their son and daughter.

"Please meet Vittorio and Lozen Stevens, both born in the middle of a pandemic on March 4," Solo says in a video posted by athletic brand Uninterupted, in which she discusses how hard it is to be a first-time parent right now. "It has been incredibly stressful times for us. We've been out in public more than we wanted to be, but we would like to thank all the incredible nurses and the doctors who helped take care of our babies during our time in NICU."

This was a rainbow pregnancy for Solo, who miscarried twins in 2018. She announced she was expecting back in December during the beIN Sports show Weekend Winners, which she co-hosts.

"Yes, my husband and I get to practice equality from the very beginning with one boy and one girl," Solo explained during the segment, which was posted to Twitter.

We're glad that they got all the logistics figured out and can now focus on their baby girl.

Congrats to Josh and Jodie!

Carson + Siri Daly welcome daughter during COVID-19 pandemic

Today host Carson Daly and his wife Siri Daly just welcomed their fourth child this week as hospitals in New York City made changes to maternity ward visitor policies. Daly has not revealed exactly which hospital his new daughter was born in, but he did say that he was able to be there for his daughter's birth, but couldn't be in the hospital before or after.

"I dropped [Siri] off at the hospital because the hospitals in and around New York—as you can imagine—have quite new guidelines, and she went alone on Wednesday night. I could only join her for the birth, then I had to leave again as they are quickly trying to flip these rooms around. Her heroism, she's a superstar, she's a superhero. I wake up enamored by her and also the medical staff we dealt with last night. The work that they are doing on the front lines, you don't believe it until you are actually there and can see it," Daly told his colleagues at NBC's Today.

He also opened up about his daughter's special name: "Goldie is awesome. Her middle name is Patricia, named after my mother, who you all knew well. It would have been my mom's birthday tomorrow so that worked out to be quite nice," he said, adding that Goldie's first name is inspired by this DNA.

"I just got the results of my ancestry DNA kit that my sister got me for Christmas back not long ago and it confirmed my 98% Irishness. So I was looking at Irish names on St. Patrick's day morning and I stumbled on Goldie...I thought this is our fourth kid, she seems like the pot of gold at the end of our family rainbow and I told Siri...and that was it. One of these things we knew."

Goldie joins siblings Jackson James, 11, Etta Jones, 7, and London Rose, 5.

Congratulations to the family of 6!

Congratulations to the Maddens! 🎉

Today meteorologist Dylan Dreyer and her husband Brian Fichera, welcomed their second child, Oliver George Fichera, the first week of January 2020. Oliver joins his big brother Calvin to make the family a foursome.

Dreyer is still recovering from birth but her voice was on TV this week when she called into her show with an update on her new family. "I feel good," Dylan told her colleagues. "I just feel so happy and so blessed."

Caterina Scorsone of 'Grey's Anatomy' now has 3 girls!

Caterina Scorsone of Grey's Anatomy has so much to be thankful for in 2020: She's now a mom of three! The actress announced the birth of her daughter via Instagram, noting that her baby's name is Arwen.

Arwen joins big sisters Eliza, 7, and 3-year-old Paloma, who has Down syndrome. Speaking on The Motherly Podcast last year, Scorsone explained how Paloma's diagnosis made her "whole concept of what motherhood was had to shift."

It is likely shifting again, as any mama who has gone from two kids to three knows.

This incredibly soft comforter from Sunday Citizen is like sleeping on a cloud

My only complaint? I've slept through my alarm twice.

When it comes to getting a good night's sleep, there are many factors that, as a mama, are hard to control. Who's going to wet the bed at 3 am, how many times a small person is going to need a sip of water, or the volume of your partner's snoring are total wildcards.

One thing you can control? Tricking out your bed to make it as downright cozy as possible. (And in these times, is there anywhere you want to be than your bed like 75% of the time?)

I've always been a down comforter sort of girl, but after a week of testing the ridiculously plush and aptly named Snug Comforter from Sunday Citizen, a brand that's run by "curators of soft, seekers of chill" who "believe in comfort over everything," it's safe to say I've been converted.

Honestly, it's no wonder. Originally designed as a better blanket for luxury hotels and engineered with textile experts to create this uniquely soft fabric, it has made my bed into the vacation I so desperately want these days.

The comforter is made up of two layers. On one side is their signature knit "snug" fabric which out-cozies even my most beloved (bought on sale) cashmere sweater. The other, a soft quilted microfiber. Together, it creates a weighty blanket that's as soothing to be under as it is to flop face-first into at the end of an exhausting day. Or at lunch. No judgement.

Miraculously, given the weight and construction, it stays totally breathable and hasn't left me feeling overheated even on these warm summer nights with just a fan in the window.

Beyond being the absolute most comfortable comforter I've found, it's also answered my minimalist bed making desires. Whether you opt to use it knit or quilted side up, it cleanly pulls the room together and doesn't wrinkle or look unkempt even if you steal a quick nap on top of it.

Also worth noting, while all that sounds super luxe and totally indulgent, the best part is, it's equally durable. It's made to be easily machine washed and come out the other side as radically soft as ever, forever, which totally helps take the sting out of the price tag.

My only complaint? I've slept through my alarm twice.

Here is my top pick from Sunday Citizen, along with the super-soft goods I'm coveting for future purchases.

Woodland Snug comforter

The bedroom anchor I've been looking for— the Snug Comforter.

$249

Braided Pom Pom Throw

Because this degree of coziness needs portability, I'm totally putting the throw version on my list. It's washable, which is a must-have given my shedding dog and two spill-prone kiddos who are bound to fight over it during family movie night.

$145

Lumbar pillow

sunday-citizen-lumbar-pillow

What's a cozy bed without a pile of pillows?

$65

Crystal infused sleep mask

Promoting sleep by creating total darkness and relaxation, I've bookmarked as my go-to gift for fellow mamas.

How to talk to your kids about Indigenous history and issues

In honor of Native American Day.

MoMo Productions

No matter who you are and where you're from, there's likely an indigenous population that was displaced by colonialism wherever you live, or you yourself might have this heritage. While each situation varies widely based on exactly where you're from, it's still important to discuss indigenous history with your children. Allow them to ask questions to truly understand the scope of their experience through education.

Indigenous history education is important for kids of all backgrounds—even those who aren't indigenous. Some may even argue that it's especially important for kids who aren't indigenous.

Indigenous history is an integral part of the history of any nation with a history of colonialism. And although parts of it may be uncomfortable, it's important to learn about it in order to become better citizens in the present day. Indigenous populations are filled with many rich cultures and populations of people still being affected today by the events of history—and current events taking place right now.

No matter where you are or when you're getting started, here are a few effective tips for how to talk to your kids about indigenous history and issues.

Don't Rely on Stereotypes

Much of what we have to go off of in our common culture in terms of indigenous stories and representation are actually based on stereotypes and narratives perpetuated by colonizers. Sometimes it can be difficult to wade through a sea of stereotypes and unreliable sources, but in order to find legitimate information about sensitive topics, you may need to look for better sources — likely sources that come directly from indigenous people, records, and organizations.

Even academic history textbooks are often filled with lies and constructed narratives. From the stories of the first Thanksgiving to Disney movies featuring native characters, common cultural narratives of indigenous people are often much less than accurate.

Be Honest With Them

It can sometimes be difficult to talk to kids about sensitive topics, especially when those topics inherently contain discussions of wrongdoing and injustice. However, that makes it even more important to be honest about the events that have taken place.

Of course, it's always important to talk about things in an age-appropriate manner, especially with kids who are sensitive to graphic information. But age-appropriate doesn't mean bending the truth. It means telling the truth in ways they can understand and process.

Talk About Both Past and Present

Especially for those not as in touch with the indigenous community, indigenous history can feel just like how it sounds at first glance—history that lives completely in the past.

On the contrary. Indigenous populations are as alive as ever, from reservations to bigger cities. Indigenous people face unique issues that they didn't in previous generations, and it's important to recognize indigenous people as more than a history—they are a community of people.

When it comes to how to talk to kids about indigenous issues, one of the biggest things to remember is that current events are a large part of that narrative.

Listen to Actual Indigenous Voices

As previously discussed, much of the common cultural narrative—including educational materials—are filled with stereotypes and manufactured histories from the perspective of European colonizers. No matter what, the best way to get an accurate view of indigenous history and issues is to seek out accounts and sources from actual indigenous people, tribes, and organizations.

When trying to learn about any subject, it's always best to head right to primary sources. So check out the tribes in your area and learn directly about them. Plus, check out books, speeches, and resources from indigenous authors and scholars.

Be an Active Force for Positive Change

Again, it's important to disrupt the "people of the past" narrative, which means actively participating in positive change as a part of the learning experience. Donate money to indigenous organizations, go to events that feature and give back to the indigenous community in your area, and sign petitions for current events as a part of your conversation.

It's important both to make reparations and to create a participatory learning experience when talking to kids, and there are plenty of ways to do that.

Discuss Non-Colonialist Culture and History

One of the big missteps—even with well-intentioned educators—is centering the conversation of indigenous history around colonialism. By starting the conversation with the colonizers showing up and stealing land, you participate further in a euro-centric worldview and miss so much valuable information that indigenous history and culture have to offer.

Instead, learn about indigenous culture, tradition, spirituality, and history outside of the colonial narrative. While it may feel like a no-brainer to some, many don't realize what they miss out on.

Encourage Them to Ask Questions

Just like any topic you're teaching kids, they will likely have questions and curiosities about indigenous peoples and experiences. Questions are a good thing, especially if the subject is new to you, too.

Encourage your kids to ask questions throughout the conversation or lesson. And if you have answers, you can lead them to those answers. However, if you don't know the answers, you can take it as a learning opportunity to discover something new together.

Keep the Conversation Going

One of the primary ways to create a well-rounded education on indigenous history and issues for anybody of any age is to keep the conversation active. Just like any history lesson, you don't just talk about it once and drop it afterward—you keep the conversation going with new lessons and topics of discussion.

At the end of the day, indigenous culture is rich and diverse—much too much for you to tackle it all in just one sitting.

Talking to Your Kids About Indigenous History

There are so many ways to discuss indigenous issues and culture, and exploring them with your kids is an amazing opportunity to educate them (as well as yourself) to be better citizens of the community and world. Indigenous history is inherently a part of the history of your country, which means it's imperative that you bring it into the educational conversations you're having.
