If you could choose one HGTV celebrity to design your nursery who would it be?
We're betting it's Joanna Gaines.
If the mama behind all things Magnolia is your dream designer, you can take some decor inspiration from her Instagram, because she gave fans an intimate peek inside the room she created for her newborn son.
"It's been a little over a week and he's settling in just fine ," Gaines captioned an Instagram post featuring baby Crew in his nursery.
We knew any Gaines nursery would be amazing and filled with personal touches. Gaines said as much previously, as Apartment Therapy notes.
"Any nursery I've ever done — to me, that was my favorite thing — because I didn't want to do your typical pink or blue," she explained.
Speaking more recently about Crew's room in particular, Gaines told Real Simple (back when she was still pregnant) that she hadn't quite decided on the final paint color yet, although it looks like a shade of grey was the winner.
"I have a few darker shades in mind," she said. "I want the room to feel cozy with warm contrasts in colors and textures."
The Instagram post gives us just a hint of what the full room might look like, but we can see the contrasting design materials and different wood tones that she has definitely hit the mark.
Chip Gaines previously remarked to Country Living that when the nursery was done it would be the most beautiful room in the house, and it certainly looks like it might be in the running.
We can't help but notice the large live plant, which is very on-trend. As we here at Motherly have pointed out, greenery in nurseries is definitely a thing now.
As for the beautiful bouncer, Crew is snoozing in in his mama's IG post?
That's likely a Levo Baby Bouncer by French company Charlie Crane. They retail for $200+ so it's an investment piece, but if your family is going to grow to be as big as the Gaines' it might be worth it.
On August 5 Gaines gave us another glimpse into Crew's beautiful room, this time when it wasn't quite so artfully arranged. In this shot, Crew is chilling in his Charlie Crane bouncer not far from where he was sitting in the first picture, but Jo's fan's got to see a whole new angle of the room, and a whole new side of Jo's experience of motherhood.
The second photo shows what Crew's room looks like after a late night diaper blowout—and while not quite as enviable as the first photo, it is very relatable.
"Evidence of a late night up with my boy," Jo captioned the pic that shows laundry, wipes and baby paraphernalia spread around the rug in Crew's room.
Somehow, the room is still beautiful even when it's messy. Kind of like motherhood.
