Surfer Bethany Hamilton is now a two time mama. The 28-year-old, Hawaii-based athlete posted a gorgeous family portrait to social media this week to announce the birth of her second child, son Wesley.

“We are overjoyed to welcome our son Wesley Phillip Dirks into the world! It’s been a beautiful time getting life started with the four of us! We are thankful to God for our two lil guys!!!” she wrote on multiple social channels

Little Wesley joins Hamilton, her husband Adam Dirks, and 2-year-old big brother Tobias in the photo.

If you follow Hamilton on Instagram you’ll know this pregnancy didn’t keep her off her surfboard, as she posted plenty of bump pics from the beach. Of course, not much can keep this mama out of the water. She was just 13 when a shark attack famously left her with one arm, but she didn’t let that scare her away from her passion.

Back when Tobias was a baby, Hamilton spoke to People about balancing surfing and #momlife. “Even surfing, I’ll just be thinking of him,” she said at the time. “I’ll get back from the beach and I’m like, ‘Oh, I’ve missed you, little guy!’”

Becoming a mom meant she had to keep a tighter schedule, and couldn’t really just grab her board and go when the waves hit.

My favorite kind of party wave 👩‍👦🎉💦

“Having a baby, you pretty much have to plan ahead everything, especially [since I’m] nursing him. I’m attached to him in a sense because I have to nurse him every two to three hours,” she told People.

That didn’t keep Hamilton indoors though. From the looks of her Instagram, Tobias has spent plenty of his first two years at the beach, and it’s likely little Wesley is going to be a water baby too. Congrats, mama!
