When it comes to working from home and raising children, moms know how to get it done.

Maybe that’s why the internet is loving this clip of a meteorologist mom who handled her toddler’s adorable interruption like a pro.

ABC7’s Leslie Lopez was in the middle of delivering her forecast when her son, Nolan, suddenly grabbed her legs in a big hug.

“He walks now, guys,” Lopez quipped after picking up Nolan and balancing him on her hip. “So, I’ve lost all control.”

Lopez didn’t get angry or miss a beat. She just scooped up her son and continued doing her job. Like the rockstar she is.

Brandi Hitt, Lopez’s coworker at ABC7, tweeted a clip of Nolan’s surprise appearance that has now gone viral.

Because of the pandemic, Lopez has been delivering her weather reports live from home.

With over 1.5 million views of the video, there’s been an outpouring of support for Lopez, who handled her son’s interruption like a champ.

Actress and producer Elizabeth Banks tweeted, “Luv this. Moms doing their thing. Go @abc7leslielopez!”

Veteran broadcaster Dan Rather weighed in, writing, “Sometimes working from home means unexpected cameos. A tip of the Stetson to this pro, @abc7leslielopez, and her “assistant” for the heart-warming weather forecast.”

Lopez responded, “This is a wonderful compliment from someone who is on the Mt. Rushmore of broadcasting. It means a lot and made my year. It also means a lot to my “babysitting” husband who was on the hot seat until your tweet came through “.

Remember the ‘BBC Dad?’ Robert E. Kelly is a professor who shot to fame in 2017 when his children hilariously interrupted a live interview he was doing with the BBC. His wife is the true hero of the video clip for catapulting herself into the office and dragging out their two kids. Seriously, if you’ve never seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it here.

Well, even the ‘BBC Dad’ applauded Lopez.

Kelly tweeted, “Picking up your son without missing a beat was a pretty smooth move. Very nice.

Hmm. Maybe I should have tried that, but if I think it would have been tough seated with two of them.”

Why is this clip resonating with so many people around the world?

Because we get it. We feel it.

Working from home and raising kids is tough work, and like Dan Rather says, sometimes you end up with unexpected cameos.

Lopez handled her son’s interruption with grace, professionalism and a bit of humor.

We love seeing moms succeed and by every metric, the way Lopez handled herself was a success.

Great job, mama.
