Grandmothers are everything. That’s why when we ask our community to share their photos of grandmas meeting their grandchildren for the first time and the images did not disappoint, one photo was better than the next.

I vividly remember the second my mother stepped into the hospital room where I was recovering and laid eyes on her brand new granddaughters. It was magical.

There’s something about knowing what the birthing person just went through that makes grandmothers understand the rollercoaster of emotions that come with the process of becoming a mom—whatever journey we go through to make that happen.
