I experienced a lot of emotions when my wife first announced “I'm pregnant!" There was joy. Fear. Excitement. And love. Lots of love. These types of emotions in this exact moment are hard to communicate (sort of like that time the Celtics beat the Lakers in the 2008 finals—only even more awesome).

One thing is for sure, though: Over the next nine months the love and connection between my wife and me has grown exponentially.

In fact, I'm more in love with my wife now than I've ever been, not in spite of the fact that she's pregnant, but actually because of it.

She's growing our child, our future pride + joy.

As each day passes, my wife's body transforms (her breasts get bigger—and even though I might not be allowed to touch them, I can still appreciate them...). And the fact that she is growing my future pride and joy becomes more and more apparent to me. More and more real. More and more amazing.

She is amazing.

A child we made together.

She appears even more beautiful and amazing every second I'm able to process the fact that she currently has our child inside of her, a child we made together.

And on top of the joy that is having a baby, this is also the last nine months we will spend alone as a couple—just the two of us.

Once that hit me, it motivated me to step up my game and appreciate this alone time that comes so easily now, but will soon be hard to come by.

My pregnant wife is as beautiful as she's ever been.

As the saying goes, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." This is sometimes meant jokingly, but in this case I truly believe my pregnant wife is as beautiful as she has ever been.

And my love for her has multiplied as I've watched her transform.

Despite thinking I could not love my wife anymore than I already do, I see—since getting pregnant—that our bond has become even stronger and the wonderful qualities become even more obvious.

This woman I love is taking on such a huge responsibility and making many sacrifices in order to bring our child into the world.

Yes, I love each and every one of my wife's pregnant curves (!), but I must say… I love this fact the most.

Taking on pregnancy like a champ is brave, admirable and definitely sexy.
