BUMP ENVY

5 Qs with Brittni

Name: Brittni Brown (Wulfsohn)

Neighborhood: East Village

Occupation: Freelance Style & Beauty Editor, Editor in Chief at Glamyork.com

Baby’s Sex: It's a boy!

How would you describe your pregnant style? My pregnancy style is pretty much the same as my pre-pregnancy style: urban, bohemian, glam.

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during this pregnancy? My waist has always been my most highlighted figure feature, and I've had to shelve the high-waisted skirts and pants and waist-cinching dresses for the most part. I've really enjoyed the style challenge of dressing a different body type.

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy? How tired I've become! I have always been very energetic, never a napper, and I've never spent as much time in bed as I have in the first and third trimesters with my Bump Nest pillow. I recommend investing in one as soon as soon as that second line shows up on the pee stick.

What’s been your favorite pregnancy piece or brand to show off your bump? I love a bodycon cotton maxi and a swingy bohemian Free People babydoll dress equally. For me it's long and fitted, or short and breezy. That's how you can best rock non-maternity pieces that you'll wear post pregnancy, and I think that's a perfect rule of thumb for choosing dresses for the new curves.

What NYC experience are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby? Strolling through The Village with my son and my "doghter," pug / beagle mix Bella June.
