Name: Kelly Fobar Davis Neighborhood: Brooklyn Heights Occupation: Founder, KFD Public Relations Baby’s Sex: Boy How would you describe your pregnant style? Classic and comfortable. Because I constantly have events and client/editor meetings, I invested in multiple non-maternity black dresses (with stretch!) and sweater dresses and simply mixed in cute motos or vests from my pre-pregnancy wardrobe to switch up the look. And because I have a petite frame, I definitely prefer body hugging styles vs trying to hide the bump. Gaining all the baby weight was hard for me at first, but I eventually came around and figured why not rock it? Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during pregnancy? Finding maternity friendly styles that don’t scream “I'm wearing maternity clothes!” So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy? How nice people have been! And not just offering their seat on the subway or opening the door for you. I’ll randomly get smiles from strangers walking down the street – I've even had a hostess give me a hug to congratulate me. And we never seem to have to wait for our reservations – people feel bad making the hungry pregnant lady wait! What’s been your favorite pregnancy piece or brand to show off your bump? I’ve really liked HATCH Collection. More of an investment, but I love that their pieces take you from the beginning to end stages of pregnancy - and I would honestly wear any of my Hatch pieces post pregnancy. What NYC experience are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby? There are so many in NYC (taking a walk in Brooklyn Bridge Park or Central Park), but what Im most looking forward to is getting out of the city on the weekends with our new babe. My husband and I are currently renovating a cottage out east in Watermill, NY -- it will be the perfect place for our new little family to recharge and spend quality time together – in peace!
