How would you describe your pregnant style?

I would describe it as, “yoga pants everyday unless there is a compelling reason to actually get dressed.” Seriously though, I work from home, so I’m able to keep it super comfy almost everyday, and when my girlfriends and I get together it’s almost always for something active that involves activewear (have you seen that YouTube video? So funny). On the weekends though, it’s fun to dress up, and I find that I gravitate towards tunics and flowy tops. I love Free People, because I’m able to wear their items before, during, and after pregnancy due to the style and generous cuts. It makes it super easy and affordable. I think I’ve bought three pieces of true maternity wear — one pair of Paige denim I wear constantly and two Gap maternity tanks for layering.

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during this pregnancy?

This is my third baby but my first winter pregnancy, so it’s been a real treat getting to wear layers and warm clothing. In my experience, I found it to be more challenging to dress for the heat, and much easier to throw on layers and just go in the cold weather. This is surprising because you’d think wearing a maxi dress and sandals would be easier. But not being super hot (and sweaty!) and focusing more on just being cozy has been such a gift this time around.

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?

The biggest surprise has been the news that we are having a girl! After two boys, I just didn’t see that happening, so it was the coolest thing to be in the ultrasound and hear, “it’s a GIRL!”

What are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?

We love to travel as a family, and I am most looking forward to adding her into our crazy bunch and enjoying new adventures as a family of five. She was actually conceived while my husband and I were hiking through the Swiss Alps this past summer, so I’m hoping some of that wanderlust and love of travel is built right into her DNA.

What’s your top 5 registry essentials?

After two kids, you realize you need very little, especially in the early stages. This time around my must-haves are:

1) a DockaTot,

2) an Owlet Monitor,

3) an Ergobaby Adapt Carrier,

4) Pampers Sensitive Swaddlers,

5) and Costco/Kirkland Wipes.
