I’m going to do a really terrible Jerry Seinfeld impression and ask you guys, What’s the deal with all of these random holidays? Last month, there was National Daughters Day and Coffee Day. In October, we’re looking at World Music Day, World Vegetarian Day, International Day of Older Persons and National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Who’s in charge of the stuff? How do you get a day on the calendar? Do you just announce it? In that case, I hereby declare today is Sari Nickelsburg Day!!!!!
One thing I’ll refrain from mocking, though, is National Diaper Need Awareness Week. That’s because there’s nothing funny about the fact that one in three American families straight up can’t afford the diapers that they need. They’re not covered by WIC or food stamps which means donations play a critical role in making sure an enormous number of babies are clean, dry and healthy.
Kudos to local mom Shana Rubin Freeman of NYC Mammas Give Back for organizing diaper drives at both Explore + Discover and Baby Bubbles NYC. Please consider stopping by to make a donation. Addresses for both locations are here.
Babies love to explore books from the get-go! Here are some wonderful new suggestions from Books of Wonder.
It’s time for some of you to pick out your baby’s very first Halloween costume!
Tell everybody to keep their lips off your baby. Thank you very much.
Keep an eye on the Well Rounded Instagram account for an amazing takeover this Sunday!
