Amanda Seyfried new baby
International Network for Aid, Relief and Assistance (INARA)

It's 2020. The world is changing. It's hard to believe but the old decade is over, the new one is here and it is bringing a lot of new life with it. The babies born this year are members of Generation Alpha and the world is waiting for them.

We're only a few months into the new year and there are already some new celebrity arrivals making headlines while making their new parents proud.

If your little one arrived (or is due to arrive) in 2020, they've got plenty of high profile company.

Here are all the celebrity babies born in 2020 (so far):

Nicki Minaj is a mama!

E! News reports Nicki Minaj gave birth on September 30.

Back on July 20, after months of speculation, Minaj told world about her pregnancy on her terms.

She announced her pregnancy to the world via an iconic photo she posted to Instagram with a simple caption: "#Preggers".

This announcement came nine months after Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty tied the knot, and two years after Minaj opened up to Wonderland magazine about how much she wanted to be a mom someday.

"I've got to get married first then I'll have a child. I might be closer than people think actually," she said back in 2018. "I love children. I'm not going to put that off for much longer."

Congrats to Nicki on realizing her dream of motherhood in 2020!

Surprise! Amanda Seyfried is now a mom of 2! 🎉

Amanda Seyfried and her husband Thomas Sadoski have welcomed a baby boy and announced the news is the coolest way.

Instead of posting on their own social accounts the couple used the moment to amplify the work of the International Network for Aid, Relief and Assistance (INARA) and War Child USA.

Seyfried and Sadoski are board members for INARA, an organization dedicated to providing "access to life-saving and life-altering medical assistance to children impacted by war."

A photo of the couple's newborn with 3½-year-old big sister Nina was posted to the INARA Instagram account with the following statement:

"Since the birth of our daughter 3 years ago our commitment to the innocent children that are so brutally affected by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives," the couple says. "With the birth of our son the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star."

Meghan McCain + Ben Domenech picked an amazing name for their baby girl

The View co-host Meghan McCain and her husband Ben Domenech are now parents!

The baby girl is the granddaughter of the late Senator John McCain and the couple chose a name that reflects their values.

Liberty Sage McCain Domenech and her mother are happy and "happy and healthy," a rep tells People.

While Liberty's name is now public, don't expect a ton of baby pics on McCain's Instagram. She has previously stated that because "there are a lot of cruel things written about [her] in the press on an almost constant/daily basis," and due to social media trolls she chose not to share photos of her baby bump, despite repeated requests from fans.

In an Instagram post she explained how she and her husband "have made the conscious decision to guard our (growing) families privacy as much as is possible."

Rooney Mara + Joaquin Phoenix select touching name for their baby son

People reports actors Joaquin Phoenix + Rooney Mara are parents...and they've picked a meaningful family name for their first child.

The news was confirmed by Russian filmmaker Victor Kossakovsky. Phoenix was an executive producer on Kossakovsky's black and white documentary about farm animals and was brought up while Kossakovsky was doing press for the film.

"He just got a baby by the way," Kossakovsky said recently at the 2020 Zurich Film Festival. "A beautiful son called River."

Joaquin Phoenix's late brother River died in 1993.

Justin Timberlake + Jessica Beil really did have a baby this summer!

Yes, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are parents of two! There were rumours back in July but now we know its true thanks to Timberlake's former *NSYNC teammate, Lance Bass.

Bass confirmed the news in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Bass told ET's Katie Krause that he and the other former *NSYNC guys knew about the baby way before the press got the news over the summer and that "the baby is cute, of course, it's Justin and Jessica!

MTV's Kailyn Lowry welcomes baby no.4 🎉

Kailyn Lowry is now a mom of four boys! The 28-year-old MTV star welcomed baby Creed to the family at the end of July and took him outdoors for a (socially distanced) football game on September 13.

Creed joins older brothers Lux, 2, Lincoln, 6, and 10-year-old Issac, who has been staring on MTV's Teen Mom 2 alongside his mama since he was a baby. During that time his mom finished college, wrote multiple books and launched a line of haircare products.

Kail is one busy mama, and little Creed will be keeping her busy in the best way for the next few months.

Leighton Meester + Adam Brody welcome baby no. 2!

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody now have a girl and a boy!

The O.C. actor best known for playing Seth Cohen announced his son's birth in a very low-key, Seth Cohen-ish way by dropping the news on Twitch. He was participating in Hold the Phone TV's The Fun Time Boys Game Night when he revealed baby no. 2 had arrived.

"Since last I played I have a new kid," he said. "I have a boy. He's a dream, he's a dream boy."

No word yet on what name Meester + Brody picked for their dream boy but they have a track record of picking awesome ones. The couple welcomed their daughter Arlo in 2015.

Katy Perry + Orlando Bloom's baby girl is here 🎉

Perry and Bloom shared the big news through a statement with UNICEF (they're Goodwill Ambassadors for the organization).

"We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter," the new parents began their statement.

"But we know we're the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. Since COVID-19, many more newborn lives are at risk because of a greater lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever."

Their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, joins older brother Flynn (age 9), Orlando's son from a previous marriage to Miranda Kerr.

Lea Michele + Zandy Reich welcome baby boy

Back in April we learned former Glee star Lea Michele was pregnant and expecting a baby with husband Zandy Reich.

A few weeks after Michelle's pregnancy news broke, her former Glee co-star Samantha Ware spoke out about racism and bullying on the set of Glee. Michelle issued a statement that reads, in part: "I clearly acted in ways which hurt other people."

Michele took a hiatus from social media to work on herself but logged on in July after former co-star Naya Rivera passed away in a tragic boating accident to post photos of Rivera and fellow Glee star Corey Monteith, who died in 2013, to her Instagram Stories.

On August 23 People revealed Michele and Reich's child, a boy, has arrived.

This is the first child for the couple but likely won't be the last. An only child herself, Michele has said for years that she would like to be a mom to more than one child someday,

Back in 2014, she told Daybreak, "I'm going to have like a billion of them! But mainly because I always hated being an only child, I always wished I had more siblings!"

Michele has also been public about her struggle with polycystic ovary syndrome, which she was diagnosed with right around the time Glee ended. Just a few months before her pregnancy announcement she opened up to Health about that diagnosis, and when she was asked where she saw herself in 5 years the answer was remarkably similar to what she said in 2014.

"I hope to be a mom of, like, 10 kids—if it's physically possible to pop that many out! Ha! I'm so excited about the thought of being a mom," she told Health. "I also want to continue making records, and I hope to return to Broadway. I also just really want to continue being my own boss—in the sense of creating content for myself on television and writing roles and finding projects that really serve me."

Katherine Schwarzenegger + Chris Pratt welcome baby girl 🎉

According to Schwarzenegger's brother Patrick, mom and baby are in good health.

Kristen Wiig welcomed twins via surrogate 🎉

Kristen Wiig and fiancé Avi Rothman are parents to twins, E! News reported this week. Us Weekly was first to report the news and People also states the couple welcomed twins via surrogate earlier this year, but Wiig has not yet commented on the birth of her children publicly.

Wiig's appearance on Saturday Night Live around Mother's Day had people wondering if something had changed in her life.

In a sketch about Mother's Day she said: "I don't know if I truly appreciated my mom the first 45 years of my life. But this year I'm feeling especially grateful for her advice, her love. I'm so thankful for all the things she's taught me, like preparing me to be a mom myself. Things like breast-feeding," Wiig said, before leaning into a joke about chicken breasts. "Babies love that chicken, she would always say that."

She continued: "I do want to thank my mom, and all the moms out there, who have been helping us get through this and who have been there, and who are watching over us. We thank you so much. Happy Mother's Day. Thank you, moms."

Congratulation to Kristin and Avi 🎉

Hayes joins big sister Gracie, now 2, and his mama's fans joined for a portion of his birth, which Otis planned to live stream. But eventually, Otis needed to focus on her doula, midwife, Hayes and her own body. The livestream was of the home birth was understandably cut short.

"I'm sorry I wasn't able to go 'live' longer - I was in so much pain during contractions and this labor happened so fast!" she said in her Instagram announcement. "I wanted to really focus on my breathing and being one with my son. Within 6 hours he was OUT!"

Former Harry Potter star Rupert Grint (who can currently be binge-watched on Apple TV's series Servant) is now a dad, E! News reports.

The plea for privacy comes after paparazzi pictures of the couple out in London were shared online.

Now that their baby girl is here the couple are again asking for some family time.

"It has been incredibly stressful times for us. We've been out in public more than we wanted to be, but we would like to thank all the incredible nurses and the doctors who helped take care of our babies during our time in NICU."

This was a rainbow pregnancy for Solo, who miscarried twins in 2018. She announced she was expecting back in December during the beIN Sports show Weekend Winners, which she co-hosts.

Carson + Siri Daly welcome daughter during COVID-19 pandemic

Today host Carson Daly and his wife Siri Daly just welcomed their fourth child this week as hospitals in New York City made changes to maternity ward visitor policies. Daly has not revealed exactly which hospital his new daughter was born in, but he did say that he was able to be there for his daughter's birth, but couldn't be in the hospital before or after.

"I dropped [Siri] off at the hospital because the hospitals in and around New York—as you can imagine—have quite new guidelines, and she went alone on Wednesday night. I could only join her for the birth, then I had to leave again as they are quickly trying to flip these rooms around. Her heroism, she's a superstar, she's a superhero. I wake up enamored by her and also the medical staff we dealt with last night. The work that they are doing on the front lines, you don't believe it until you are actually there and can see it," Daly told his colleagues at NBC's Today.

He also opened up about his daughter's special name: "Goldie is awesome. Her middle name is Patricia, named after my mother, who you all knew well. It would have been my mom's birthday tomorrow so that worked out to be quite nice," he said, adding that Goldie's first name is inspired by this DNA.

"I just got the results of my ancestry DNA kit that my sister got me for Christmas back not long ago and it confirmed my 98% Irishness. So I was looking at Irish names on St. Patrick's day morning and I stumbled on Goldie...I thought this is our fourth kid, she seems like the pot of gold at the end of our family rainbow and I told Siri...and that was it. One of these things we knew."

Goldie joins siblings Jackson James, 11, Etta Jones, 7, and London Rose, 5.

Congratulations to the family of 6!

If you've ever stood over your baby's crib or clung to the monitor watching them as they slept, you're not alone, mama. Making sure your baby is safe while they sleep is one of the top concerns for parents, and often leads to our own sleepless nights as we struggle to relax while our baby snoozes. But you need your sleep too.

Here are 10 safe sleep guidelines to keep in mind so you can rest a little easier:

1. Place baby on a firm surface in a crib or bassinet.

Although your baby has the capability of falling asleep pretty much anywhere as a newborn, it is strongly recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics that all sleep happens in a crib with a firm mattress or in a bassinet. Other than a fitted sheet, nothing else should be in the crib, especially for newborns. By placing your baby on a firm surface, you will greatly reduce the risk of SIDS.

2. Put your baby on their back.

This is the safest position for your baby to sleep until they learn to roll over on their own. Once your baby has the ability to completely roll over, it is okay to allow them to remain in that position for sleep, but you should still put them on their back to begin with.

3. Set the appropriate temperature in the room.

You may have the urge to over-bundle your little one, especially in the winter months, but as long as the temperature in the room is between 68-72-degrees Fahrenheit, there is no need to layer them in excessive clothing. Long sleeve sleepwear with light socks is all they need to stay warm.

4. Make sure baby has their own separate sleeping space.

Although there are strong opinions on both sides of this subject, research has found that sharing a bed with a baby can put them at risk for SIDS. It is recommended by the AAP to room-share for the first 6-12 months of life, but not bed-share. The same goes for sleeping on a couch or other soft surfaces during the day. If you want your baby close to you, you can keep the crib or bassinet next to your bed.

5. Do not expose your baby to smoke.

Smoking is one of the risks of SIDS and even small particles on your clothing can be passed to your baby. Children should especially not be sleeping in an environment where there are particles of smoke in the air. This is something that should be considered when traveling and staying in hotels or homes of friends and family members as well.

6. Use a monitor if they're sleeping in another room.

The use of a baby monitor not only gives you peace of mind but can help ensure your baby remains safe while sleeping. While you don't need to worry over every little sound they make, there will be situations when you need to go in the room and do a safety check based on what you see or hear in the monitor.

7. Feed your baby in a position that isn't too relaxing for you.

This is one that might seem odd as you want to be comfortable as you feed the baby, especially if you are exhausted. However, it is best to avoid any situation where you might potentially fall asleep. For example, sitting in an upright position in a chair versus laying in your bed can help you stay more alert.

8. Use a pacifier and/or breastfeed if possible.

There are numerous reasons why a mama might not be able—or want to— to breastfeed, but if you do have the capability of doing so, it has been found as a way to decrease the risk of SIDS.

Similarly, if your child will take a pacifier, this is a great way to not only soothe them but also to prevent SIDS. I also highly encourage feeding your child as much as needed during the first few months of life. This doesn't necessarily mean you need to feed them every time they wake, but if they seem genuinely hungry, it is safest not to stretch them too long in between feeds.

9. Have carbon monoxide and smoke detectors nearby.

You'd be surprised how many homes don't have these installed or installed correctly. Regularly check the batteries in both devices and make sure they are working properly throughout the home so you'd be notified if something happened.

10. Don't let your baby sleep in an area with animals.

I know this one can be tough, especially if your pets were your first babies, but as much as we love them and as gentle as we think they are, limit the risk. A cat or dog could accidentally suffocate your baby if they have access to their crib/bassinet, or their fur could cause them to have trouble breathing.

These safety guidelines are not meant to induce fear or cause excessive worrying, but rather serve as tools and knowledge that will ensure baby's sleep is as safe as possible.

Why I got strict about a 7pm bedtime for my kids

Quite simply, it has made me a happier and more patient mom.

Before kids, I considered myself a morning person. I loved waking up, enjoying a warm cup of coffee and reading. It was both relaxing and energizing for me. It was when I felt most alive. After our first child was born, I quickly realized that I'm more of a mid-morning person. Wake-up calls at 5:30am did not make me feel alive.

I struggled to love my new morning routine—sometimes I even dreaded it. I was using my daughter as my alarm clock and it was not good.
