According to Nameberry's CEO, these are the names parents are picking.

The baby name experts at Nameberry just dropped the list of the most popular baby names of 2020, and it might surprise you.

According to Pamela Redmond, Nameberry's CEO, the most popular baby names of 2020 (so far) are Luna and Milo. This isn't a reflection of how many babies have actually been given that name recently—you need to look at Social Security Administration data for that, and unfortunately, COVID-19 has delayed the SSA's official announcement of popular names. Instead, this list reflects how many people are looking up certain names on Nameberry's website.

Here are the top 10 baby girl names:

  1. Luna
  2. Maeve
  3. Aurora
  4. Olivia
  5. Isla
  6. Ava
  7. Ophelia
  8. Eleanor
  9. Eloise
  10. Aurelia

These are the top 10 baby boy names:

    1. Milo
    2. Asher
    3. Atticus
    4. Oliver
    5. Levi
    6. Silas
    7. Arlo
    8. Leo
    9. Theodore
    10. Jasper
Redmond says Oliver, Levi and Leo are new entrants to the boys' top 10, and she was surprised to see one name missing from the girls' side this year: Cora.

"Cora stood at Number 8 on the popular baby name website's list at this time last year, and had moved all the way up to Number 6 on the official 2019 list. But the name is too reminiscent of coronavirus so its popularity is waning." Redmond writes.

The name Cora has been growing steadily in popularity over the last 20 years, according to the SSA. In 2018 (the most recent year we have data for) it was ranked 73, with 3,574 baby girls in the U.S. taking the name.

Choosing a name for your little one is a tough job. Finding the best products for them shouldn't be. Here are some pregnant mama and new baby essentials we're totally obsessing over.

It’s science: Vacations make your kids happy long after they’re over

Whether you're planning a quick trip to the lake or flying the fam to a resort, the results are the same: A happier, more connected family.

Whether you're looking for hotels or a rental home for a safe family getaway, or just punching in your credit card number to reserve a spot in a campground a couple of states over, the cost of vacation plans can make a mom wince. And while price is definitely something to consider when planning a family vacation, science suggests we should consider these trips—and their benefits—priceless.

Research indicates that family vacations are essential. They make our, kids (and us) happier and build bonds and memories.

Do you need a family emergency kit? (Hint: Yes, you totally do)

It only takes a few minutes to be better prepared for emergencies.

Right now is understandably a time for concern, but the same message applies: Prepare, don't panic. We parents have a responsibility to care and provide for our children, ensuring their well-being before and after any disruptive event, whether it's a natural disaster or an outbreak that forces temporary shutdowns and closures in our community. When it comes to emergency preparation, I always tell parents one thing: You want to have a plan just in case the worst really does happen.

As a mom of three young kids with a firefighter husband, I'm constantly anticipating potential problems—and thinking ahead about how to cope. Thinking ahead and planning has saved me many nights of pacing the floor, and has made me feel more confident as a parent.
