When Bachelor alum Bekah Martinez announced her baby girl’s birth earlier this week, fans were wondering what she was going to call her daughter.

“We’ll be sharing [the name] soon,” Martinez wrote in the comments section of one of her Instagram photos Thursday. “We didn’t have any names picked out when she was born so it took a few days as we got to know her little personality :)”

A day later, the announcement came, and it couldn’t be a more perfect name for this baby girl. She’s Ruth Ray De La Luz Leonard (aka Ruthie Ray).

Ruth is her father, Grayston Leonard’s, grandmother’s name (“and one of my favorite biblical stories,” Martinez notes). Ray is just adorable and De La Luz is Martinez’s father’s middle name.

According to the Social Security Administration, this classic girls name isn’t super popular. In 2017, just 1194 babies in all of America were named Ruth.

The double R initials of Ruthie Ray reminds us of Kate Hudson’s baby girl’s name, Rani Rose. Prior to Martinez’s name announcement fans were speculating that her daughter’s name would also include “Rose”, but that might be a bit too punny for a mama who rose to fame on the Bachelor.
