Everybody looks forward to Girl Scout cookie season, and it is now officially underway. Little girls are learning life lessons while selling delicious cookies and there is a big change this season.

A new cookie has been added to the lineup. And it’s gluten-free, mama.

So if you or your kiddos have been saying no to the Girl Scouts in an effort to avoid gluten, you can now say ‘yes’ to the Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie, described by the Girl Scouts as being “comprised of caramel, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and a hint of sea salt in a chewy cookie.”

(Allergy mamas, you can see the ingredient list here, these do contain milk and they are the only Girl Scout cookie that contains eggs.)

The Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie is new this year, but another gluten-free option, the eggless Toffee-tastic (a crispy sugar cookie) has been around for a while.

Now GF families have two Girl Scout cookie options: One for when you’re feeling something crispy and one for when you’re craving something chewy.

If you don’t want to wait for your neighborhood Girl Scouts to show up with these cookies (or don’t live near cookie-selling mama Jennifer Garner) check out the Girl Scouts’ Cookie Finder and type in your zip code.

Cookie season is here! Time to eat delicious snacks and support an organization that encourages girls to be leaders, STEM students and entrepreneurs.

[Update, January 4, 2019: The Girl Scouts want you to know that “each gluten-free variety is offered in select Girl Scout council markets only for as long as supplies last.”]
