The royal baby's birth has not been announced yet but the British Royal Family's social media was blowing up Wednesday afternoon with photos of another royal baby who is not such a baby anymore.

Princess Charlotte turns four on Thursday and her parents released a series of photographs taken by her mom ahead of the big day.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share three new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fourth birthday," the social media managers over at Kensington Palace captioned the pics.

We love that Princess Charlotte is seen playing outdoors (pediatricians are always calling for more outdoor play, so it's good to see this influential preschooler setting a good example) and it seems like Charlotte is loving it, too.

Kate took pics of Charlotte in two outfits, one's more of a chilly look complete with a plaid skirt, tights and a cardigan, and in another portrait, she's seen in a very springy dress and super casual sneakers.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have always dressed their kiddos in a classic sort of style for public appearances and formal portraits, and it's nice to see those modern sneakers getting some grass stains. Style reporters have spent a lot of time imagining how Baby Sussex's wardrobe will differ from the Cambridge kids', but these sneakers suggest Kate and Meghan's taste in kids' clothes might not be so far apart after all.

Happy Birthday, Charlotte! (Maybe you will share a birthday with your new cousin if we're lucky!)

I was blissfully asleep on the couch while my little one was occupied elsewhere with toys, books and my partner. She got bored with what they were doing, escaped from his watch and, sensing my absence, set about looking for me. Finding me on the couch, nose-level, she peeled back my one available eyelid, singing, "Mama? Mama? ...You there? Wake UP!"

Sound familiar? Nothing limits sleep more than parenthood. And nothing is more sought after as a parent than a nap, if not a good night's rest.

But Mother Nature practically guarantees that you are likely to be woken up by a toddler—they're hardwired to find you (and get your attention) when you're "away."
