That naturally curious baby is ready for new discoveries.

Make the most of their milestones:

Watching your baby discover the world is one of the greatest adventures—for both of you! At month 10, you're getting even more glimpses into the person she is becoming, and it's one exciting ride. That's why we put together our month-by-month guide to help you encourage and inspire your little one's naturally adventurous spirit through the power of play.

As she becomes more and more of her own person, your baby will grow in her conversational skills—don't be shy about talking back as much as possible, even if you barely understand her babble. She's also on the move, which means you'll both be getting plenty more exercise this month.

Here are a few suggestions to make the most of your baby's tenth month.

She understands object permanence, meaning she knows things still exist even when she can't see them.

  • Try This: Challenge her brain by playing hide and seek with her toys.

She can have a “conversation" back and forth with you using sounds and babbles.

  • Try This: Talk back like she is telling you a fascinating story.

She understands basic commands, like “wave hello!" and “say bye-bye!"

  • Try This: Incorporate movement with words so she starts the make the connection.

She's on the move this month! In addition to being a crawling pro, she may be pulling herself up from a seated position to standing while holding onto furniture or your hands.

  • Try This: Get ready to follow her everywhere!

Your postpartum life:

Everything changes when your baby can move! Set aside time for yourself during naps or after bedtime to recharge your (undoubtedly) tired body, whether that means sneaking your own nap, taking a bath, or just relaxing with a book. To help baby satisfy her desire to explore, create a safe playzone with a baby gate or play yard filled with safe objects or toys. That way, she can roam freely and you won't have to constantly tell her “no!"

By now, you should be feeling more confident in your abilities to mom like a boss. Take a moment to celebrate how far you've come!
