How would you describe your pregnant style? I was definitely worried about what would happen, but my pregnancy style has been pretty much the same aesthetic as pre-pregnancy. I think I generally keep an Italian-artist-rocker-chic vibe. A lot of fitted black and statement accessories!

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your pregnant body? I have definitely been lucky with first trimester in the spring and second in the summer. Obviously first tri wasn't an issue, and then second, I got away with normal summer clothing--lots of sundresses, skirts, and camis. I can't complain! With third trimester hitting fall, I finally had to get a few maternity pieces, which feel weird, but I've been pretty minimal. I will say that I had no idea why the Bella Band was such a big deal until I finally got two on sale, and they have been my 3rd trimester saviors. Get them early, ladies! You'll see!

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy? Everything they say is true, and there's stuff they don't tell you about but everyone seems to go through. Maybe not a surprise persay, but a lovely discovery, is how organically and in sync my husband and I have been travelling this new journey and its bump(s) together. And you know what? I feel (and have been called) super sexy and confident, which can really get you through the tougher days!

What’s been your favorite pregnancy piece or brand to show off your bump? I live in a black tank, and also a black knit skirt I've had for 20 years. They go with everything, layer, and make life easy. ASOS is a great place for real deals on clothes you actually want to wear also.

What NYC experience are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby? As an artist, I spend a lot of time at gallery openings, in museums, and at music gigs, so that will be fun soon, and introducing him to how we eat, drink, and experience food--both at home and out--will be really fun down the road. Mostly it's about him discovering what his NYC will be!
