The new parents shared a series of photos on Instagram, writing, “We wanted to introduce you to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.”

“On his grandfather’s birthday weekend, thinking of my grandfather, we are introducing our little boy,” she wrote.

“He is named after his great grandfather and both of his great x5 grandfathers,” she added.

Eugenie’s grandfather is Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh and husband to Queen Elizabeth II.

August’s first name comes from his fifth great-grandfather, Albert, who was Prince Consort and husband of Queen Victoria. His full name was Prince Franz August Karl Albert Emanuel.

August’s second middle name is inspired by his dad’s side of the family.

Reverend Edward Hawke Brooksbank lived in the 1700s.

August Philip Hawke Brooksbank is the first child of Princess Eugenie and Jack. He’s also the first grandchild for Eugenie’s parents, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York.

He’s the ninth great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, soon to be joined by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby, due later this year.
