Summer is behind us and we’ve said goodbye to Aperol Spritz. Le sigh. But Reese Witherspoon recently shared a cocktail recipe via Instagram that instantly kicked us into fall mode .

In her post, Witherspoon crafted a fizzy apple cider cocktail while busting a few moves to Blanco Brown’s “The Git Up.”

Here’s the recipe:

  1. Fill a cocktail glass with ice.
  2. Add a few ounces each of apple cider, aperol and soda water.
  3. Top with a few ounces of prosecco.
  4. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and apple slice.
  5. Enjoy!

2. Jennifer Garner’s gingersnap recipe

 

 

 

 

 

Jennifer Garner shared her childhood neighbor’s gingersnaps recipe on Instagram, and it looks amazing. We agree with her caption, it’s the “perfect autumnal bake-with-your-toddler cookie.”

Here’s the recipe:

  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 4 Tbsp molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Extra sugar for rolling

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry.
3. Using two spoons (“The Marge Method”) or a small ice cream scooper (“The Jen Method”), roll batter into balls and roll them in sugar
4. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until done.5. Enjoy!

3. Shawn Johnson’s mama’s pumpkin bread

Just in time for the holiday season, Shawn Johnson shared her mother’s pumpkin bread on Instagram stories and it sounds delicious!

Here’s the recipe:

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 (15 ounces) can pumpkin
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 (3 ounces) package of vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs. Add oil and pumpkin.
  2. Beat until smooth.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients, gradually beat into pumpkin mixture.
  4. Pour batter into 5 greased small loaf pans.
  5. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes.
  6. Cool on wire racks
