Skincare and beauty products are a personal obsession. I spend hours scrolling the SkincareAddiction subreddit and keep running lists to make the most of the annual Sephora Sale. My bathroom and closet are stocked with enough serums and potions for six lifetimes and I’ve been known to schedule time with friends for the sole purpose of talking about skincare over a bottle of wine. (Which IMO is way more fun than a book club🤷‍♀️) Not surprisingly, beauty gifts are some of my absolute favorite to give and get during the holidays.

In finding ways to bring on that holiday spirit, there’s no better way to spread the love than by gifting your loved ones with the best beauty essentials. Not only are holiday beauty gift sets a great way to introduce a fellow skincare junkie to brands you love, they’re also a great reminder that self-care isn’t selfish. Add in the fact that they’re often an amazing value that’s beautifully packaged and it’s a total no brainer.

The challenge is choosing one. From the perfect gua sha skincare kit, to the red lip must-have, we have you covered!

If glowing skin is on her Christmas list, look no further. The alpha beta peels from Dr. Dennis Gross are the most effective at-home treatments for dull, damaged and aging skin that I’ve ever used. I started using them when professional facials were off the table and after the very first use, I could feel a difference–my skin was extraordinarily soft and my pores had diminished considerably. They’ve been a weekly staple ever since. This gift set is an incredible value, including 60 Extra Strength Peels and 35 Universal Daily Peels to seriously transform their skin.

For holiday, they’ve put together a fab collection which includes a full-size perfume, a travel bottle of body oil and a 30 hour candle to immerse her in all things sweet. It’s the perfect introduction to one of our favorite brands–but be sure to warn her that she won’t be able to quit those candles. #sorrynotsorry

best beauty gifts holidays 10 Motherly

Eight Saints

•

$10

14. Discovery kit

Clean, affordable beauty? Yes, please. Eight Saints has put together a kit with sampler-sized versions of their entire skincare line and you can gift it to someone for only 10 bucks. That is not a typo. This is one of the best values out there, and if you want to be extremely generous, you can even offer up to buy a full-sized version of whatever their favorite product is. My favorites are the Nightshift hydration gel and the Desert Rose mask.

Matrescence Pregnancy Skincare Gift Set

Matrescence

•

$240

15. Pregnancy Skincare Gift Set

If you’ve got a pregnant mama on your list to spoil, this luxurious set from the maternity skincare experts at Matrescence is just what you’re looking for. It includes their Rose Glow Purifying Cleanser, a gentle, clarifying face wash that helps manage those bummer hormonal breakouts without drying or stripping the skin. There’s also the Rose Glow Brightening Essence, a two-in-one toner and serum to help her safely and effectively manage the other skin woes that often come with pregnancy, including dullness, hyperpigmentation. And because her belly is doing some hard work as well, there’s the to-die-for Stretch Mark Relief Refining Scrub. The indulgent scrub smells good enough to eat and packs the power of coffee and cocoa to soothe dry and itchy skin and improve the appearance of stretch marks. (What can’t coffee and chocolate fix, TBH?)

Nuface Mini+

Nuface

•

$250

16. MINI+ Smart Petite Facial Toning Routine

As one of the most coveted at-home devices in the skincare world, there’s no doubt the NuFace will be the gift. The award-winning tool uses microcurrents to exercise and tone your face, improving the contour of the cheeks and jawline along with softer, firmer skin and reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. To be perfectly honest, I was skeptical. But after one session I was totally hooked. The free app pairs with your device to walk you through a menu of treatments that target different areas and concerns as well as monitor your progress through photos. My favorite is currently the 5-minute Facial Lift which gives me that well-rested awake look I’m always chasing with syringes of botox. Consistency is key, but it’s a total game-changer!

Cap Beauty Serotoner

Cap Beauty

•

$58

Serotoner

For the clean beauty mavens, the CAP Beauty Serotoner is a guaranteed slam dunk. Yes, it’s a face mist, but IMO it’s also a mental vacation in a bottle. Among a host of glorious botanicals which hydrate and soothe, the Cap Beauty Serotoner is infused with griffonia, a plant which is said to increase the “feel good” hormone serotonin. I’m not sure if that’s what’s happening when I spray it, but regardless, its coconut, neroli and rose scent is without a doubt one of the most divine things I’ve ever smelled. It’s transportive, glow-giving and calming for both skin and mood.

Kitsch Satin Pillowcase

Kitsch

•

$22.79

Satin Pillowcase

From protecting hair from frizz and breakage to keeping skin clear and happy, satin pillowcases > regular old pillowcases. There are a lot out there to choose from, but we’re partial to the women-owned, LA-based Kitsch which hold up wash after wash.

Herbivore Coco Mint Coconut Oil Body Scrub

Herbivore

•

$45

Coco Mint Coconut Oil Body Scrub

Who says showers can be as luxurious as baths? For one thing, you’re not sitting in a stew of yourself. Add in a few indulgent products and you’ve got a true oasis. The special edition Coco Mint Oil Body Scrub from Herbivore smells like candy canes and chocolate and makes skin oh-so-soft. Be warned though. If you don’t hide it from your kids it will disappear.
