Being pregnant during the holidays can be hard. Mostly because when it comes to getting dressed and out of the house (if that's what you're doing this year even), being home in sweatpants sounds way more enticing than trying to fit into fancy clothes (at least for me personally). But that changes today, mama, because after tons of research and actually testing these clothes on myself with a pregnant belly with twins, I'm here to tell you there really are cute and comfortable maternity clothes.

So get your credit card ready, and let's go shopping! Here are our favorite maternity outfits to throw on for the holidays whether you're heading out or just dressing up for a virtual fete:

A pop of festive color

ORIANE Emily Dress

Comfortable and fun, this crepe fabric dress can be worn year around (think layers in the winter!) Details like side pockets and a sweet pleat cascades from the v-neckline create the perfect drape even as your belly grows. It's the kind of dress you're going to want in every color.

A glam LBD

Emilia George Edita dress

Highlights your bump and your love for the environment as this beauty is made from Emilia George's signature 100% post-consumer recycled fabric. With a more universal silhouette and feminine touches like bows on the shoulder and a slit on the left side, it's a winner for holidays or wherever the spirit moves you.

A long black sequin dress

Pietro Brunelli Sequin Maternity Dress

If you want to feel super fancy, this dress is perfect for you. You'll be feeling (and looking) like a glamorous Hollywood star with this long-sleeved sequin dress. It's the perfect outfit for a New Year's Eve Zoom party.

A long black dress

Maxi dress

I love the Storq maxi dress because it can easily be dressed up or down and is so comfortable. It comes in three different colors, but I prefer the black since it's the most versatile one for the holidays. The stretchy fabric means you can wear this dress at any stage of your bump and beyond!

Floral dress

Navy Floral Sleeveless Maternity Maxi Dress

Florals can and should be, in my opinion, worn all year long. This flowy dress is super comfortable for a growing bump and its looseness in the fabric means you don't have to worry about underwear or tight marks.

A comfy jumpsuit

ORIANE Stacie Jumpsuit

If your are looking for simple, sleek and modern, look no further: this is the jumpsuit you need. With the perfect combination of flowy fabric and just the right amount of construction, you'll reach for this maternity jumpsuit over and over. The gathered back, and tailored legs give it shape while the front button makes it easy to take on and off.

A short gold sequin dress

TFNC Maternity sequin mini bodycon dress in liquid gold

This dress is everything and you will definitely stand out while wearing it. It's designed to fit the body during all stages of pregnancy and the color is ideal for a New Years Eve Zoom party if you are adventuring out for a night out.

A silky bright dress

The Fete Gown

This super flowy dress is a head turner, not only for it's super stylish cut but also because of its bright pink color. The silk makes it super light and comfortable on the bump while also giving you space to be comfortable as it grows. The sash is removable so it is also a great style to go from tiny bump all the way to postpartum.

A cozy sweater dress

ORIANE Sara Turtleneck Dress

Wear it as a dress or as a tunic over pants. This super soft and cozy sweater dress will keep you warm and looking fabulous. Plus, you can wear it postpartum as well.

A super flowy and fun print dress

I recently wore this to an event and it was a showstopper. I cannot tell you how many people asked me who I was wearing and complimented me on my look. My belly was super comfortable in it and there was definitely more room to grow.

A pleated luxurious dress

TELLUS MATER Juno Long-Sleeve Maternity Dress in Rust

Comfort meets style with this luxury quality maternity dress. Fully pleated and in a classic-yet-trendy rust color, this multi-purpose dress works on any and all body types. (Even after pregnancy!)

A cute dress for day festivities

Mary Caftan

This super cute and versatile dress allows you to wear either a V-neck or a boat neck at the front. It's ideal for day festivities and can be layered with a fluffy sweater and comfortable boots if you live somewhere cold. Added bonus: It's both bump-friendly and nursing-friendly!

A gold + black gown

Black Sequin Off Shoulder Wrap Maternity Photoshoot Gown/Dress

This gown is simply stunning and will make heads turn when you wear it. Its length and style are definitely more formal in case you have a fancy party or a black-tie Zoom event.

A red ruffled dress

Red Ruffle Sleeveless Maternity Fitted Dress

Nothing says festive like a red dress. This form-fitting number would look great paired with black tights and gold accessories for a more formal look or with flats for a less formal event.

Off the shoulder flowy dress

TRIBE ALIVE Organic Cotton Cleo Dress

Although technically not a maternity dress, this cotton dress can be worn during your first trimester comfortably. Flowy and soft, with an off the shoulder look, it's the perfect dress to throw on whenever you need a pick me up, especially postpartum.

A reindeer dress

Beige Reindeer Fitted Maternity Sweater Dress

If you get invited to an ugly sweater Zoom party, you can totally show up in this knit dress because pregnant people deserve to look cute *all* the time, okay? The material makes it flattering and comfortable for curves.

A lace + velvet short dress

Black Velvet Lace Back Long Sleeve Maternity Dress

This dress is super discrete in the front with a basic velvet fabric and it gets super fun in the back with a total lace cut out.

An effortless navy dress

The Riviera Dress

This dress is a fun number to pull out for weddings, holiday parties, business cocktails or a night out with your partner. You know, once the global pandemic is over.
