13 products to help you achieve your new year’s resolutions, mama
Artifact Uprising

Ah, New Year's resolutions... everything sounds so promising in January, doesn't it? And then real life creeps in.

Your preschooler gifts you with the stomach bug; you can't remember the last time you washed your hair; you've been late to work every morning in the last week because your toddler loses his mind at daycare drop-off. Making homemade smoothies every morning chock full of fresh kale and bee pollen isn't sounding like such a great idea now, huh?

Cut yourself a break, mama. This year we're making real resolutions for real moms. And we're showing you the best products that will help get you there.

1. Get your photos off your phone 🤳

Our phones allow us to capture the moments like never before—but sometimes, we miss the feeling, and the nostalgia, of reflecting on memories with an actual photo in-hand. Artifact Uprising makes it so easy to upload and order photos, and their assorted print sizes and clean, simple aesthetics will make all your memories truly shine.

2. Exercise your mind 📚

If you used to love sitting down and devouring a book, make it a point to get back to that this year. While you may not be able to actually sit down with some peace and quiet, you can listen to some of the latest bestsellers. We love turning on Audible while we're doing laundry, when the kids or napping, and during commutes.

Use our link below to enjoy a 30-day free trial and two free audiobooks. We suggest starting with One Day in December or Becoming.

3. Organize your memories 💜

Now that you've ordered all of these gorgeous prints, where are you going to put them? We are majorly obsessing over these handmade photo display boxes from La Rousse. (Rose gold, anyone? Yes please.)

Created by a photographer who was looking for a beautiful + fuss-free way to display photos, they hold up to 110 standard prints and 50-65 square prints. They're perfect for anything from wedding to baby photos.

4. Get (and stay) inspired ✨

5. Wake up earlier 🌅

If you find yourself waking up abruptly by a loud alarm or can't seem to get up before your kids, it might be time to rethink your strategy. For Google Pixel 3 and 3XL owners, this wireless charging stands turns your phone into a virtual alarm clock. The screen will stimulate the sunrise, boasting various colors of a real sunrise so you wake up calmly and easier.

6. Get active (and look good doing it) 💪

Fitness goals may not be the most original of New Year's resolutions, but there's something to be said for setting an intention and sticking to it.

Whether it's yoga, pilates, or just athleisure-ing around town, we are big fans of the Align pant by Lululemon. The buttery soft material offers just the right balance of breathability + stretch, and the fit is super flattering—they hold you in in all the right places without making you feel constricted.

7. Clean out your purse 👜

Your purse holds *all* of the things, but it can be a big stressor when you're running from drop off to girls night—you likely always leave one thing behind. Finally organize your favorite tote so it can seamlessly act as a diaper bag and mama's bag.

The ToteSavvy features multiple compartments—and comes in various sizes—so all of your items have a home. We love the insulated pocket for bottles, washable changing mat and key clasp for when mama's hands are full.

8. Learn a new hobby 🧣

Take some time this year just for you—try something new, learn a new skill, or pick up a new hobby. It will not only make you a better mom, but a better person, too.

We recently tried We Are Knitters kits, and we're officially hooked. (Sorry, we couldn't resist.) The kits come with everything you need to make a project and are delivered right to your door—simply choose a project, receive everything you need including yarn, needles, + a pattern, and enjoy the experience. There are tons of great resources on the site to help you out, including video tutorials, projects geared just towards beginners, and gorgeous photos of all the amazing projects.

9. Control the clutter 🙅‍♀️

You reach into your bag to find your phone but instead come up with... an old pacifier. A scrunched up baby wipe. Three miniature diggers. (True story.) This year is going to be the year you stop the madness!

Truffle pouches are clear, space saving, and completely awesome. They are the perfect way to wrangle the chaos, whether it's for travel, everyday essentials, or even electronics.

10. Get more (and better) sleep 😴

Okay fine, we can't promise that these sheets will actually provide you with more sleep, but we can promise it'll be some of the most comfortable sleep you've ever experienced. Prioritize your sleep in the new year with these luxury sheets at non-luxury prices.

We've been rocking our Boll & Branch sheets for the past two years, and we are happy to report they are just as soft as the day we got them—if not softer. And we love that they're ethically made and sustainably sourced, too.

11. Take control of your finances 💸

Money is stressful; money is complicated; money is no fun. We get it. But you know what's way less fun? Credit card debt, living paycheck to paycheck, and not being able to save.

Enter You Need a Budget (YNAB) and finally get your finances together. The app helps you easily track all of your transactions and work toward your goals. We think the hardest thing about budgeting is just keeping track, so when something automatically does it for you, we're all in.

12. Unplug 📚

The irony of a website giving you advice to unplug is not lost on us, believe me. But sometimes you just need to step away, recharge, and spend some time with a good book.

One of our favorite picks is Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. This New York Times bestseller (and Reese Witherspoon book club pick) explores family drama, motherhood, and identity, and we couldn't put it down.

13. Practice self-care 💆‍♀️

Before you curl up with your new book, take a few minutes to put on one of these amazing sheet masks. Sheet masks are no secret to any K-beauty devotee, but the trend has been slowing gaining popularity in the US over the past few years and masks like these are now available pretty much anywhere.

We love how this one purifies and detoxes the skin, making for a glowy complexion.

Chrissy Teigen/Instagram

When Chrissy Teigen announced her third pregnancy earlier this year we were so happy for her and now our hearts are with her as she is going through a pain that is unimaginable for many, but one that so many other mothers know.

Halfway through a high-risk pregnancy complicated by placenta issues, Teigen announced late Wednesday that she has suffered a pregnancy loss.

Our deepest condolences go out to Chrissy and her husband, John Legend (who has been by her side in the hospital for several days now).

In a social media post, Teigen explained she named this baby Jack.

FEATURED VIDEO

"We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn't enough," she wrote.

She continued: "We never decide on our babies' names until the last possible moment after they're born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever."
