Social media feeds are flooded with black boxes today in a hope to amplify black voices and mute the noise. And while posting brings awareness of the grim reality of racism in America and calls for an end to police brutality, it's crucial to take action beyond that. We're facing a difficult time in the nation right now, but it doesn't come close to what Black families face on a daily basis.
If you aren't sure where to start, or want to do more to amplify these voices, a great step is to support black-owned businesses. Even if you can't make a hefty donation, it's important to remember that you have power when you consciously decide where to put your dollars.
