How Motherly! We reached out to Dr. Sydney Engelberg to get the details behind the viral photo, and here’s what he told us:

“I allow mothers (and fathers) to bring their babies to all my classes. I teach at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and the Ono Academic Center and I really don’t remember specifically when this event took place as I do this on a fairly regular basis. The course was on Social Psychology and the event took place about 18 months ago.”

“It was important to allow mother and baby to remain because education is not merely about content but about teaching values.”
