Jane Baecher

Anya co-founder and CEO Jane Baecher graduated from Cornell University and entered Bloomingdale’s as a buyer and then early stage, fast growing startup Rent the Runway, helping to launch one of the first fashion subscription services, Unlimited. Later, after the birth of her daughter, she left her work in product and brand development with relationships with over 100 vendors across 20 product categories at Rent the Runway to immerse herself in the wellness space, building expertise as nutritional consultant and PMA Certified Pilates instructor where she worked with women, giving holistic nutritional and fitness guidance. Through her own experience as a first-time mom and while witnessing the struggles of other new moms, she recognized the massive void of support and solutions for postpartum women. After the birth of her son, she began developing products for Anya - a fusion of traditional recipes and cultural herbal formulas with nutritional science and food-based healing. What began as “care packages” to new mothers has now become an exciting new venture to fill the gap, supporting new moms with products and informational content created in conjunction with nutritionists, OB/GYNs, pediatricians, and eastern practitioners including herbalists and doulas. Anya offers an evolving monthly subscription of vegan, safe while breastfeeding, doctor-reviewed products developed to meet women’s needs as they change throughout the postpartum period, from birth recovery to lactation and beyond. Jane leads Anya’s product development, brand marketing, public relations, creative, content, and community. She lives in New York City with her husband and two children and loves skiing around the world and surfing on Long Island.
