This is not a drill: new Bridgerton photos just dropped, and we are not OK. The much-anticipated second season of the hit Netflix series is set to premiere in March, but this little sneak peek is going to get us all through the next two months of winter.

Season one of the show followed eldest daughter Daphne as she made her way on the marriage mart and ended up scorching our screens and melting our hearts with Simon, the Duke of Hastings. Season two follows the plot of the second book in author Julia Quinn’s hit series as Daphne’s brother and Bridgerton family heir, Anthony, unexpectedly romances a “spinster” named Kate Sharma.

If you’ve read the books, then many of these scenes will feel familiar to you. If you haven’t read the books, well, many of these scenes will still illicit a sigh of anticipation.

Here is Anthony dancing with Kate—excuse me, but where are my smelling salts?!

And Kate with a rifle, natch.

Everyone’s favorite best friend duo, Eloise and Penelope. Personally, I cannot wait to see how they continue Lady Whistledown’s storyline now that the audience knows her identity.

Speaking of Lady Whistledown, here are the fine Featheringtons looking more subtle and subdued than usual.

And Queen Charlotte just absolutely delivering in the hair and wardrobe department.

The brothers Bridgerton, fencing in their finest.

Kate and Edwina Sharma, looking like they’re cooking up a scheme or two.

And OG Bridgerton babe, Daphne, having a word with her brother.

While it’s been reported that RegéJean-Page, who played Simon, will not be part of the second season of the show…a gal can hope, right? Perhaps a flashback scene, or a dream sequence even? Sigh.

Regardless, the second season is going to be every bit as exciting—if not more so—than the first. Though the character of Anthony left a lot to be desired in the first season, those who have read the books know that his story is, hands-down, one of the best of the Bridgerton bunch.

And because the show moves at a different pace than the books, showrunner Chris Van Dusen has already confirmed that elements of books three and four will be peppered into the upcoming season.

Though the new season premieres on March 25, which is technically spring, these photos are all we need to warm up this cold winter day. Until then, we’ll be gearing up for some hard-core Netflix binging with these cozy finds…
