It was Disney Night on Monday’s episode of Dancing With The Stars, and while all of the performances were magical, one dance in particular stands out among the rest. JoJo Siwa earned the first nine of the competition so far for her epic Viennese waltz where she portrayed Prince Charming to her dance partner’s Cinderella.

“You just showed the whole world that girls can do anything guys can do, and sometimes maybe even better,” said judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

And boy did she ever.

JoJo and her partner, Jenna Johnson, have been dominating the competition all season with JoJo as the lead, but last night she took a more “toned down” role, according to the judges. And it paid off. The pair received 35 out of 40 points for their waltz to “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.”

‘This was a Viennese waltz for the 21st century. Full of charm, grace, elegance. And always so beautifully executed,” said judge Bruno Tonioli.

Watching JoJo Siwa star on this show not long after coming out as queer earlier this year is important for that alone, but watching her stay true to herself by dancing with a same-sex partner and taking on a role that goes against gender stereotypes is so valuable for her young fans to see.

JoJo told the judges that while Jenna was excited to be a princess, she was “more excited to play the prince.”

Absolutely magical. We can’t wait to see what she does next.
