Kelsey Crane's Pregnancy Style

Name: Kelsey Crane Gonzalez

Neighborhood: West Hollywood / Los Angeles

Occupation: Actor and Owner of Quench Staffing

Baby’s Gender: It's a surprise!!!

How would you describe your pregnant style? My style is bohemian, and urban comfortable. I love to wear form-fitting dresses that hug my new figure. I am definitely embracing my bump and booty with tighter, stretcher clothing.

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during pregnancy? The pressure on the modern woman to do it all AND look good while doing it is insane. I've definitely focused on working inside out, focusing on staying mentally strong to embrace my new body. But feeling cute on the outside definitely helps me stay confident! For the most part, I wear non-maternity clothing just 1 to 2 sizes larger, but I do love wearing the maternity stylings of Isabella Oliver, Pink Blush, and Hatch.

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy? I completely WOW'ed by the ability of our bodies to morph, grow, and support life. It's absolutely magical. We make a NEW organ (the placenta), our other organs shift, our ribs expand, and we GROW A HUMAN. I have a new found respect bordering on reverence for the power of bodies.

What are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby? My goodness, everything. I am just so excited to meet our little person and nourish his or her personality. We can't wait to see the world through our baby's eyes and adventure together.

Is the BabyBjörn portable travel crib worth it?

    100% unequivocally yes.

I have this weird brown birthmark on the bottom of my right foot near my pinkie toe and my mother always said, "That means you'll never stay still. You'll travel everywhere." (She's full of interesting superstitions like that.) I'm not sure if it was a self-fulfilling prophecy or what but I've always had a love for travel, and before we had a child (in those glorious pre-pandemic times), my husband and I traveled all over Europe, did two road trips across different parts of the United States and even flew all the way around the world to visit my family in the Philippines.

I had this weird idea that I had to get all my traveling in before I became a mom. Because once you become a mom, you just become content sitting at home with the kids, right?

    Eh, wrong.

It’s science: Vacations make your kids happy long after they’re over

Whether you're planning a quick trip to the lake or flying the fam to a resort, the results are the same: A happier, more connected family.

Whether you're looking for hotels or a rental home for a safe family getaway, or just punching in your credit card number to reserve a spot in a campground a couple of states over, the cost of vacation plans can make a mom wince. And while price is definitely something to consider when planning a family vacation, science suggests we should consider these trips—and their benefits—priceless.

Research indicates that family vacations are essential. They make our, kids (and us) happier and build bonds and memories.

Mama, all I see is you

A love letter from your baby.

    Mama,

I can't see past you right now, I'm so small and everything's a little blurry.

    All I see is you.

When you feel alone, like the walls are closing in, remember I'm here too. I know your world has changed and the days feel a little lonely. But they aren't lonely for me.

    You are my everything.

When you feel like you don't know what you're doing, you're making it look easy to me. Even though we're still getting to know each other, you know me better than anyone.

    I trust you.
