Her response to the comment makes us feel SEEN.
Have you ever felt like your family is pressuring you to have more children even after you've decided you're content with what you have? If so, Brooklyn Decker's recent Instagram exchange with her own mom will make you feel seen.
It all started when Brooklyn posted a photo of her husband, Andy Roddick, lying in front of a fireplace with a book in hand. "It's like he's TRYING to seduce me," Brooklyn wrote alongside the image.
As you might recall, Brooklyn and Andy share two children: 4-year-old son Hank and 2-year-old daughter Stevie. So does Brooklyn's NSFW caption indicate that she's ready to make another baby with her husband? Well, her mom sure hopes so.
Brooklyn's mama voiced her wishes in the comments section of the photo. "Yes!! More grand babies please👶🏼," she wrote.
But Brooklyn didn't seem too thrilled with this comment. Her reply? "Ew mom," she wrote. When the Instagram account @CommentsByCelebs shared the exchange, Brooklyn added the comment: "Someone please report my mom she is out of control."
Now, we don't know if this means Brooklyn is turning up her nose at the thought of having more children or simply uncomfortable with her mom commenting on this particular caption.
But here's what we do know: Feeling like everyone in the world wants you to have more children after you've decided you're done? That's definitely a thing.
Whether it's your own mom telling you to give her another grandchild or your partner wanting another baby when you just feel so done, so many mamas experience this. On the flip side, maybe you've had people tell you not to have any more kids when you don't feel done.
We know Brooklyn's mama was just joking and means no harm, but this raises an important point: We all need to decide how many children we want without input from anyone else.
Tell us, mama—have you ever felt pressured to have (or not have) more children? And if so, would a harmless joke like this have made you feel frustrated?
