By Abi Berwager Schreier December 1, 2023 Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Rectangle Poor Meg Ryan just canât catch a break. We loved her in When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle and of course Youâve Got Mail, but unlike her male counterparts in these films, she isnât allowed to age. She is supposed to stay in her 30s like she was in these romantic comedies, frozen in time. This isnât anything new when it comes to women celebrities or even normal everyday women like us. Itâs so obvious with the billions of ads thrown in our faces every single day about a new wrinkle cream, Botox treatment (heaven forbid you have forehead wrinkles or smile lines), and of course other plastic surgery. But wait, donât get too much plastic surgery because then you look âunnaturalâ or like âFrankensteinâ as one commenter said about Meg Ryanâs appearance lately. I wish someone had told me earlier, âJust relax. It is what it is. Donât pay attention to the obstacles.ââ Meg Ryan says that all the media speculation and rumors in tabloids is just too much to handle and she has to block it all out. âI canât pay attention to it. I just canât,â she said in the interview. âItâs not worth it. Of course that would hurt someoneâs feelings, but there are so many more interesting things to think about. Meanness and hatred are just so stupid,â she told Glamour. You just say what you want.â The latest News Viral TikTok proves families will do *anything* for their only grandchild News âWeâre pregnant in our 40s!â: Viral pregnancy announcement sparks conversation about motherhood later in life News Mom of 8 shares how she creates Christmas magic with fewer giftsâand no Santa News Momâs viral video of her daughterâs coat refusal is parenting gold
