In order to beat the paparazzi at their own game, pregnant Blake Lively took control of the narrative and shared her own series of baby bump photos on Instagram. Lively, who confirmed she was pregnant with her fourth baby just last week, is once again calling out photographers for scaring her three kids.

Over the weekend, she took to Instagram to post photos from her current pregnancy—including bump shots, photos with her husband Ryan Reynolds and an adorable photo with Taylor Swift (she and Swift have been close friends for years.)

“Here are photos of me pregnant in real life so the 11 guys waiting outside my home for a [unicorn] sighting will leave me alone,” she wrote in the caption of her photo series. “You freak me and my kids out.”

This isn’t the first time Lively has publicly admonished the paparazzi for their lack of boundaries and propriety. In 2021, Lively went into Mama Bear mode by slamming The Daily Mail Australia for allegedly stalking, harassing and frightening her and her three young children just to snap photos for the publication.

Last fall, she called out the Instagram account “Hollywood Star Kids” for posting a photo of Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds with their kids. Though the post has since been deleted, E! News was able to document Lively’s comment on the post beforehand.

“This is so disturbing,” Lively commented. “I’ve personally shared with you that these men stalk and harass my children. And you are still posting. You said you would stop. You personally promised me. This is not casual appreciation. This is YOU also exploiting very young children. Please. Delete. Please. Some parents are ok with this. We. Are. NOT.”

This is a stance Lively has made clear—unsanctioned photos of her kids are off-limits. So are unsanctioned photos of her pregnant body, which is why she decided to publish photos of her bump on Instagram. This removes the motivation for the paparazzi to lurk outside her home to snap their own photos, because now those “unicorn” photos (as Lively perfectly put it) have a lot less value if everyone can see her bump on her Instagram page.

Lively also made sure to applaud outlets who refuse to publish unsanctioned photos of celebrity children, a cause that is important to many celebrity parents (including Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard).

“Thanks to everyone else for all the love and respect and for continuing to unfollow accounts and publications who share photos of children,” she concluded in her caption. “You have all the power against them. And thank you to the media who have a ‘No Kids Policy.’ You all make all the difference. Much love!”

Here’s hoping abusive photographers leave the Lively-Reynolds family in peace from now on.
