Politicians holding babies? Out. The Rock holding babies? IN. So, so, so very in. One dad loves The Rock so much, in fact, that he crowd-surfed his baby so the BLACK ADAM star could hold her on stage.

In an Instagram video The Rock shared, the actor can be seen at a fan event in Mexico City in support of his latest superhero film. And while the idea of crowd-surfing babies seems insane, watching the crowd gently hold this tiny little girl and pass her like a glass doll so that The Rock could embrace her in his giant, burly arms—well, it doesn’t seem so crazy once you see it.

“Our BLACK ADAM Tour has been electric, fun and emotional,” The Rock wrote on Instagram. “People do cry and they hand me things — I was NOT surprised to be handed this beautiful little baby.”

Don’t you just love that he’s like, “Yeah, people give me their infants sometimes, no biggie?”

Now, most parents likely wouldn’t have the instinct to pass their baby through a crowd of strangers (aside from, like, a dozen reasons why that’s an extremely nerve-wracking idea is the fact that we’re still in a pandemic and babies have delicate little immune systems). But I won’t lie, after watching this video I wouldn’t not pass my kids off so they could be cradled like a prize jewel in the arms of a romance novel cover model.

I’d consider it. Don’t judge me.

The Rock says he saw the baby’s father holding her up over his head, and was struck by the emotions the proud papa was feeling in the moment.

“Her father caught my attention because he had tears in his eyes when he held her up high and gestured for me to hold her,” the caption continues. “I honestly thought he was holding a toy doll he wanted me to have as a gift.”

She may not be a toy, but she is a doll. And listen, if the choice were to hand my baby off to a (disappointing) elected official or hand my baby off to Dwayne Johnson, there’s no contest. Heck, it’s not even close. And we already know The Rock is a proud, enthusiastic, super involved Girl Dad™, so that just makes it even sweeter.

“This beautiful, serene, present and trusting angel is Luciana,” The Rock ends his post. “One day, I bet she’ll inspire all those around her. And whatever this moment meant for her emotional father—means it meant something special for me too.”
