Each December 24, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) uses its technology to track Santa’s sleigh as it moves through the airspace. The tradition started back in the 1950s with a misprinted telephone number and continues to this day.

These days the phone number is 1-877-HI-NORAD (1-877-446-6723).

But your family also has a few more modern options to track Santa in 2022:

1. NORAD Santa Tracker

You can visit NORAD’s Santa Tracker website, or follow along on the Instagram and Twitter pages beginning Dec. 1.

2. Kids Place Live

You can also follow along with SiriusXM’s Kids Place Live (Ch. 78) starting at 4 p.m. ET on Christmas Eve. The channel will be playing family-friendly holiday music all night with Santa updates every 15 minutes.
