The four of them spread out amongst the crowds, shook hands and received bouquets of flowers from many people. He said, ‘Mummy don’t worry, because she is now with great-grandpa.’” Queen Elizabeth, Prince Louis’ great-grandma, passed away “peacefully” on Thursday, September 8 and the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Louis’ great-grandpa, passed away in April 2021. They shared four children: Prince Charles (the new King), Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward. They are also grandparents to eight members of the royal family and great-grandparents to 12. The passing of a grandparent can be a difficult event for children. They might not fully process what’s happening but they can certainly feel a shift in the air.
