How do I get my baby to sleep? This is one of the most commonly asked questions among new parents, and it makes sense, given that babies are born with their days and nights mixed up.

For many parents, attempting naps and bedtime can seem like a never-ending cycle of rocking, shushing and hoping for some kind of magic sleep solution.

And while that might not exist (yet), we have found some of the best products out there that can help baby fall asleep faster and for longer durations. Because when baby is sleeping, so are you!

The Snoo bassinet

Snoo

Designed by expert pediatrician and sleep guru Dr. Harvey Karp, the Snoo bassinet gently rocks your baby to sleep while snuggled up in the built-in swaddle. Not only does it come with sensors that adjust the white noise and movement based on your baby's needs, there is also an app that allows you to adjust the settings directly from your phone.

While this item is a bit on the expensive side, there is now an option to rent for $3.50 a day, which is a total game changer!

Hatch Baby Rest sound machine + nightlight

best baby sound machine

The Hatch Baby Rest is a dual sound machine and nightlight that will grow with your family. Many parents use this product with their infants as a white-noise machine and then as a "time to rise" solution for toddlers.

The thing I love most about this product is that the light it gives off isn't too bright, and you can even select different color preferences; giving your toddler choices at bedtime.

$59.99

Crane humidifier

Crane Humidifier

The only thing worse than a sick baby is a baby who is sick and not sleeping well. The Crane humidifier helps take care of this by relieving congestion and helping your baby breathe better while sleeping.

Personally, I think the adorable design options alone are enough of a reason to purchase this product, and your child will love watching steam come out of the elephant's trunk!

$46.99

Burt’s Bees baby organic cotton crib sheets

Burt's Bees Organic Crib Sheets

There dozens of print options to choose from and these organic sheets are *so* soft and smooth, even through multiple washes.

We love that all of Burt's Bees baby products are also GOTS-certified, so you can rest assured knowing your baby is sleeping on the purest of material. Also: The crib sheet patterns are a-maz-ing!

Nested Bean Zen Classic weighted sleep sack

Nested Bean Zen Sack

Parents swear by this weighted sleep sack that still gives your baby that snug feeling when transitioning from the swaddle, helping your baby sleep longer stretches.

In comparison to other sleep sacks, the Nested Bean is super easy to get on and off, so you don't have to wake your baby in the process.

Naturepedic organic crib mattress

Naturpedic Lightweight Organic Mattress

In the first few months of life, babies can spend up to 17 hours a day sleeping, so choosing a mattress that is safe (read: no chemicals!) and comfortable is incredibly important.

Hannah Andersson night night sleeper organic pajamas

Hanna Andersson Organic Baby Pajamas

You know what's going to help baby have their best sleep ever? Some quality, super soft pajamas. My go-to brand is and always will be Hanna Andersson because they last forever and they're made from organic pima cotton that is safe on baby's precious skin. I love the Night Night Sleeper because it has a zipper for quick diaper changes... and because there are matching options for the whole family!

Happiest Baby sleepea 5-second swaddle

best baby swaddle

There are baby swaddles and then there is Sleepea. Similar to the brand's swaddle that is built into the Snoo, the Sleepea is magic for multiple reasons. First, it's got mesh panels ensuring baby never overheats. Second, the zipper zips from the top or the bottom, so you can change the baby's diaper in the middle of the night without ever waking them. Third, it's hip safe. Fourth, the patterns are SO cute. And fifth, the interior swaddle wrap that keeps baby's ams down has a "quiet" velcro that won't wake baby if you need to readjust while they're asleep.

Whether you're having a low-key Friendsgiving with your closest friends or prepping to host your first big Thanksgiving dinner with both families, figuring out all of the menu details can be the most overwhelming step. How much should I cook? What ingredients do I need? How does one actually cook a turkey this big?

But, don't worry, mama—HelloFresh is lending a helping hand this year with their Thanksgiving box in collaboration with Jessica Alba. Because you already have enough on your plate (and we're not talking stuffing).

Here are the details. You can choose from two Thanksgiving boxes: Turkey ($152) or beef tenderloin ($132). The turkey box serves 8-10 people while the beef one will serve 4-6 and both are $6.99 to ship. We got to try both and they're equally delicious so you can't go wrong with either one, but the turkey does require a 4-day thaw period so keep that in mind. And if you're wondering what the sides are, here's a sneak peek:

FEATURED VIDEO
  • Garlic mashed potatoes
  • Green bean casserole with crispy onions
  • Ciabatta stuffing with chick sausage and cranberries
  • Cranberry sauce with orange, ginger and cinnamon
  • Apple ginger crisp with cinnamon pecan crumble

While someone still has to do the actual cooking, it's designed to take the stress out of Thanksgiving dinner so you can focus on spending time with your loved ones (or watching Hallmark Christmas movies). You don't have to worry about grocery shopping, portion sizes, recipe curation or forgetting that essential thing you needed to make the meal perfect. Everything is super simple to make from start to finish—it even comes with a cooking timeline.

Orders are open through November 21 and can be delivered anytime through November 24. Even better? You don't need a subscription to order.

Being pregnant during the holidays can be hard. Mostly because when it comes to getting dressed and out of the house, being home in sweatpants sounds way more enticing than trying to fit into fancy clothes (at least for me personally). But that changes today, mama, because after tons of research and actually testing these clothes on myself with a pregnant belly with twins, I'm here to tell you there really are cute and comfortable maternity clothes.

So get your credit card ready mama, and let's go shopping! Here are our favorite maternity outfits to throw on for the holidays:

A long black sequin dress

Pietro Brunelli Sequin Maternity Dress

If you want to feel super fancy, this dress is perfect for you. You'll be feeling (and looking) like a glamorous Hollywood star with this long-sleeved sequin dress. It's the perfect outfit for a New Year's Eve party or if your company goes all out for a holiday party, you'll be sure to stand out from all your coworkers.

$398

A long purple dress

$119

A long black dress

Maxi dress

I love the Storq maxi dress because it can easily be dressed up or down and is so comfortable. It comes in three different colors, but I prefer the black since it's the most versatile one for the holidays. The stretchy fabric means you can wear this dress at any stage of your bump and beyond!

$112

Floral dress

This super flowy dress is a head turner, not only for it's super stylish cut but also because of its bright pink color. The silk makes it super light and comfortable on the bump while also giving you space to be comfortable as it grows. The sash is removable so it is also a great style to go from tiny bump all the way to postpartum.

Jessica Simpson Leopard Print Faux Fur Maternity Coat

This faux fur animal print jacket will make any little black dress stand out. It's soft, comfortable and it'll keep you warm enough during the coldest winter days. You can dress it down with jeans and a white T-shirt if you want to wear it during the day.

I'll admit it: I'm an earbud snob. There I said it. For me, there's nothing like clear, noise-canceling earbuds that allow me to fully immerse myself into music while doing household chores or mindless tasks. I love it. And if they're integrated with a voice assistant so I can be hands-free, it's a complete win-win.

When I was pregnant with my kids, I didn't want to purchase pregnancy headphones. Most are super bulky, overpriced and have horrible sound quality. Instead of buying them, I sang to my babies and hoped they would develop a love for music just like their mama. Turns out, I was onto something. "Even in the womb, little ones respond to the vibrations and later to the beats and melodies that you play for them," says Diana Spalding, author of The Motherly Guide to Becoming Mama: Redefining the Pregnancy, Birth, and Postpartum Journey. "Research also shows that music can help build the foundation for your baby's language acquisition, so you can think of taking a moment to jam out to your favorite songs as educational."

Recently, model Ashley Graham posted on Instagram a photo of her using pregnancy earbuds and I had to do some research. How was she building her baby's language skills using earbuds?

"Baby boy is the size of a coconut this week and already getting some advice from @gayleking on my podcast @prettybigdealpod 💙 Gayle you are wild and I LOVE IT. We fast forwarded your story about the stripper pole 🤣" she captioned.

In the photo, Graham is using mbrio, a patented earbud adapter that turns your earbuds into pregnancy headphones so you can use your favorite earbuds while enjoying music with your baby. Pretty smart, right?

mbrio Clip-On Pregnancy Earbud Adapters

mbrio Clip-On Pregnancy Earbud Adapters

mbrio's patented earbud adapters turn your earbuds into pregnancy headphones. Just pop in any set of compatible earbuds, clip them to your waistband and go. It also uses a thin layer of silicone to reduce sound levels by up to 30 decibels (depending frequency and volume) so it's safe for mama and baby.

$29.95

It eliminates the need for splitters, sticky pads, volume control switches and iPhone plug adapters too so you can just carry one device while you're on the go. It's also been independently tested by a Nationally Registered Testing Laboratory, so it meets the safe audio guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

Best of all, the ergonomic design adapts to mama's growing belly throughout the pregnancy. Just pop in any set of compatible earbuds, clip them to your waistband and go!

I'm still not a believer in headphones and still plan to use earbuds wherever I go, but if I ever get pregnant again, or need a cool baby shower gift, I know what to purchase.
