We’re TV show watchers these days—especially when the kids are in bed and we can finally unwind. During these challenging times, some of us have gone back to rewatch old favorites while others are picking up some new shows they finally have time to explore.

While we have different tastes in what to watch, we all have one thing in common: we could all use an escape from reality—even if it’s only for a few hours.

Here are our favorite TV shows to stream right now:

1. Insecure on HBO

“It’s a well written comedy series that features an array of artists of color [that focuses on] friends and romantic relationships. It has a bunch of storylines, feels current and relatable, all while throwing in important life lessons.” —Nina Marrero-Pages, Design Director

2. Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix

“Drew Barrymore. Zombies. The ‘burbs of California. What else could you possibly want? I love how completely “normal” the show seems at first, until it starts taking you into a weird and twisted version of reality that you can’t believe you’re in. Sort of feels familiar, doesn’t it?” —Karell Roxas, Editor-in-Chief

3. The Ranch on Netflix

“Who knew Ashton Kutcher and Sam Elliot were the duo we needed? When his semi-pro football career ends, Colt (Kutcher) moves back to his small town to help with his dad (Elliot) with the family ranch. It’s the perfect mix of a little bit of drama, romance and old-school humor—plus, the small town feel is exactly what I need to mentally escape. Bonus points for many That ’70s Show cameos!” —Kaitlyn Russell, Managing Editor

4. Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist on NBC

“It airs on Sundays, has a great cast, and the song choices are fun. It’s a light and cheery show that’s easy to get sucked into.” —Colleen Temple, Interim Essay Editor

5. Devs on FX on Hulu

“It’s a visually stunning sci-fi journey into a future where the future is a bit scary (but in a different way than the reality we are living now). It’s by the same guy who directed Ex Machina and you can totally tell. It’s all about power, technology, secrets, Silicon Valley and Nick Offerman in a serious role. It’s a wild ride.” —Heather Marcoux, News Editor

6. Outlander on Netflix

“I just started this but it feels historical, romantic, mysterious, and I like they’re going back in time. I’m still figuring it out a bit but I’m enjoying it so far”. Nina Marrero-Pages, Design Director

7. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix

“Kimmy is exactly who we need right now. She’s unflinchingly positive despite having dealt with some seriously challenging situations in her past, and she teaches us that it’s never too late to figure out who you can become. Tituss Burgess as her roommate and Jane Krakowski as her “friend” couldn’t be more perfect in their respective roles.” —Karell Roxas, Editor-in-Chief

8. Schitt’s Creek on Netflix

“Not only is it well written, perfectly cast and hysterically funny, but the episodes are under 30 minutes which is just about what my brain can handle right now.” —Mary Novick, Director of Business Development

9. Ozark on Netflix

“The entire cast is amazing. It has great storylines and I’m obsessed with crime dramas. And it’s based on a lake of the Ozarks, which I grew up going to every summer!” —Angie Prendergast, Director of Business Development

10. Riverdale on Netflix

“I have a soft spot for teen dramas and when it comes to this modern re-telling of Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead, they bring the Drama with a capital D. Watching the earlier seasons with Luke Perry makes my heart break a little, but I love this fun, smart escape into a world that is both familiar and totally foreign all at the same time.” —Karell Roxas, Editor-in-Chief

11. Little Fires Everywhere on Hulu

“I LOVE the depth of character and the twists and turns in the storyline. Honestly, I just love watching amazing women in the world living their life while I’m on my couch with a bag of Scoops and a bowl of guacamole. It gives me hope!” —Julie Tozier, Director of eCommerce

12. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on Netflix

“If you haven’t watched this yet, buckle up. It’s got musical numbers! Love triangles! And super insightful commentary on the essence of being wrapped in a comedy shell. It’s kind of weird at first, but stick with it. It gets really good.” —Karell Roxas, Editor-in-Chief

13. Unorthodox on Netflix

“It’s loosely based on Deborah Feldman’s memoir, it follows Esty Shapiro as she flees her loveless arranged marriage and the Ultra Orthodox community she’s known her entire life. It’s riveting without being sensationalized or judgemental. The acting is incredible and despite portraying a lifestyle that couldn’t be further from my own, I found myself relating to her need to discover who she is without the insistence of who she’s supposed to be. Also, as a 4 episode mini-series, it felt more like a movie broken into chapters.” —Sara Goldstein, Brand Editor

14. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon Prime

“It’s witty, super hysterical and a really great escape from the world right now. Totally binge-watchable.” —Ashley Wasilenko, Campaign Strategist

15. Dead to Me on Netflix

“This is dark comedy at its finest, and brings back Linda Cardellini to the small screen in a super complex and fascinating role (shout out to all the Freaks and Geeks stans). Christina Applegate’s character is both real and tragic, and it’s an interesting look at how grief can make us do strange things.” —Karell Roxas, Editor-in-Chief

16. Game of Thrones on HBO

“I love it because it’s so far from reality, I can actually escape MY reality for a little bit.” —Diana Spalding, Digital Education Editor

17. You on Netflix

“Penn Badgley is oddly at home being a creeper character and you feel oddly weird kind of…admiring…that in him? He doesn’t think what he’s doing is bad even though it definitely is, and you just want to shout through the screen at the women he’s stalking to save them from their fate. The first season goes by faster than you realize, and you find yourself wanting more.” —Karell Roxas, Editor-in-Chief

18. Harry Potter Series on Amazon Prime

“It’s been great to escape to a galaxy far, far away and zone out on my favorite good vs. evils series!” —Isabella Spitz, Sr. Buyer + Seller Acquisition Manager

19. Russian Doll on Netflix

“Natasha Lyone is BRILLIANT, as is the premise of this show. There might be a certain validation in watching a TV character live the same day over and over again and slowly go insane (hmm..sounds familiar) but what Nadia—and you as the viewer—learn in watching her go through this struggle is super satisfying to experience.” —Karell Roxas, Editor-in-Chief

20. Narcos on Netflix

“This show has all the things I love to watch: crime, drama, excitement, intensity, and it makes you feel like you’re in another world.” —Nina Marrero-Pages, Design Director

21. Black Mirror on Netflix

“I’ve been a Black Mirror fan for quite some time, but the latest season is my favorite. I’m also a major Twilight Zone fanatic, so this really speaks to soul. The suspense, literally at every corner, makes me so happy.” —Deena Campbell, Senior Lifestyle Editor
