Home / News / Viral & Trending Stop everything—because Subway now has footlong chocolate chip cookies Subway Seems like they’ll be a permanent menu item early next year! By Arielle Tschinkel November 30, 2023 Subway Rectangle Few things pair better together than a footlong Subway sandwich and a soft, chewy chocolate chip cookie. But if one regular round, palm-sized cookie just isn’t enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, the chocolate gods have heard your calls, because the sandwich chain is making footlong chocolate chip cookies part of its permanent menu soon. Last year, Subway celebrated National Cookie Day (which falls on Dec. 4 each year, ICYDK) by transforming one Miami store location into a Cookieway, offering a slew of footlong cookies in different flavors for one day only to celebrate the occasion. For this year, they’ve upped the ante entirely, announcing that not only will the footlong cookie become a menu staple in early 2024, but some locations are even giving away free footlong cookies on Monday, Dec. 4. Subway is offering a sneak peek of its new footlong cookie, only on National Cookie Day. According to a press release, fans can visit the following Subway restaurants from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time to get a free footlong cookie with the purchase of a footlong sub, while supplies last. Chicago: 604 S Wabash Ave., Suite D, Chicago, IL 60605 Dallas: 1222 Commerce Street, Suite 150, Dallas, TX 75202 Miami: 2795 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33140 New York City: 545 8 Ave., New York, NY 10018 If you’re located in these cities, you’ll want to head to your participating Subway early, because the company notes that footlong cookies at last year’s Miami pop-up location sold out within two hours. (!!) It definitely seems worth potentially battling it out with Cookie Monster himself to score one, but even if your efforts are unsuccessful, it seems fans won’t have to wait long to try these fresh-baked footlong delicacies nationwide. And don’t worry, because Subway is kicking dry, crumbly, stale cookies to the curb. In fact, per the press release, Subway’s culinary team spent the entire year “packing even more craveable, chocolate chip deliciousness into a footlong version of its most popular cookie.” “The overwhelming response we received from fans around the country last year let us know that we needed to make the footlong cookie a permanent addition to our menu,” said Paul Fabre, Senior Vice President of Culinary and Innovation at Subway. “At Cookieway this year, our guests will get a sneak peek of an even better footlong cookie: thick, gooey, packed with chocolate chips and served warm — right out of the oven. It’s the perfect pairing with your favorite footlong sub and may even become your favorite footlong after the first bite.” The latest News Why one mom is leaving cookies for Mrs. Claus instead of Santa this year News What Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential win means for American mothers and families Viral & Trending ‘My marriage doesn’t come before my kids’: The viral post sparking a family-priority debate Viral & Trending Mom of 3 shares the unexpected words from a stranger that brought her to tears
