Breastfeeding is beautiful. A model and mother breastfeeding her infant son on the cover of Elle magazine? GORGEOUS.

This week, Australian supermodel Nicole Trunfio shared the cover shot of her breastfeeding her son Zion on Elle Australia’s cover, and lit up social media with her stunning display of an everyday motherhood moment turned-high fashion. Elle featured several versions of the model and her son on its cover; the breastfeeding shot was exclusively mailed to print subscribers —and shared with the Internet.

Here’s what Elle Australia editor-in-chief Justine Cullen said about the shot:

“This wasn’t a contrived situation: Zion needed a feed, Nicole gave it to him, and when we saw how beautiful they looked we simply moved her onto the set,” ELLE’s editor-in-chief Justine Cullen says. “It was a completely natural moment that resulted in a powerful picture.”

Trunfio told Elle in an interview that she has taken to motherhood “like a duck to water.” A beautiful duck, of course. “When I saw the [subscriber] cover of me breastfeeding, which was unplanned and just natural, I teared up and thought, ‘Wow this is such a special moment where my worlds have collided.”

Below are a few more of the lovely images via Elle. Sure, unlike us mere mortals, Trunfio likely had the help of makeup artists, stylists, assistants and a nanny to get the fabulous photos. We’ll take it. New motherhood never looked so good.
