You’re A Mama! ?—Two-Week-Old Baby
At this stage, whether you're breastfeeding or formula feeding or both ?, feeding baby is a full-time job. (And hey, at least your other full-time job lets you sleep at night.) But fear not, this stage is intense, but short, and longer stretches of sleep are just around the corner. Stay hydrated, stay in bed, and give yourself permission to just rest and recover and snuggle. The moment a baby is born—a mother is born, too. So take your time getting used to this whole new world.
P.S. Keep late-night diaper changes and feedings simple with Burt's Bees' zip up sleeper PJ's and easy swaddles from aden + anais.—they were seriously made for sleep-deprived new parents. Now back to sleep!
? Baby this week: Once baby's umbilical cord falls off, it's time for her first bath. Try this: Save water and keep baby safe with a newborn tub like this one from Puj. Fill up your sink with warm water and then place baby in. Use a gentle soap (we adore this one from Shea Moisture) and soak up that baby bath sweetness. And remember, you don't need to bathe baby every day!
