By Motherly February 5, 2016 Making a baby can be stressful. Take a break from ovulation kits and peeing on sticks with some of our favorite flicks to watch about babymaking. If you’re wondering What to Expect While You’re Expecting or trying to get a handle on what life will be like as a Baby Mama, check out these flicks. 1. Unexpected A complex, award-winning film about adjusting to an unplanned pregnancy, modern motherhood and the identity of women in the world. “Whether you go to work or you stay at home, it’s a sacrifice either way.” Could we love this movie any more? 2. What to Expect When You’re Expecting Pregnancy is magical. And stressful. And hilarious. This over-the-top flick is not a completely realistic portrayal of birth, but it’s definitely funny and you’ll truly feel their pain. 3. Father of the Bride Part II Who’s pregnant? Oh, everyone. This classic is one to rewatch whether you’re feeling nostalgic for the ’90s or just need to enjoy some innocent lols at Steve Martin’s expense. 4. Baby Mama An instant favorite from Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, two of the funniest mamas in Hollywood, about the trials of trying to get pregnant. And let’s just say making a baby will look a little easier when you don’t have Angie (Amy) as your off-the-wall surrogate. 5. Knocked Up So your pregnancy story doesn’t always start the way that you dreamed it would, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a storybook ending. At least if you’re starring in Knocked Up. 6. The Back-up Plan You know that old Hollywood tale: Woman wants to have baby. Woman doesn’t have man. Woman tries artificial insemination. Woman immediately falls in love with handsome stranger. What happens next? Watch and find out.
